    摘要: A generator module includes a housing arranged for mounting to a rear face of an internal combustion engine, a generator stator fixed in the housing, a generator rotor arranged radially inside of the generator stator, and a bearing arranged to support a radial inside of the generator rotor on the housing. The generator rotor may include a rotor carrier and a plurality of stacked plates secured to the rotor carrier. The bearing may be at least partially radially aligned with the plurality of stacked plates.

    摘要: A hybrid module is provided that includes a water jacket and an oil reservoir. The water jacket can be configured to both directly provide a heat exchanger feature for a stator as well as the oil reservoir. Oil within the oil reservoir can be configured to be sprayed towards the stator at the same time that the water jacket is cooling the stator. This configuration provides an improved cooling effect for the stator.

    摘要: A transmission with an integrated hybrid drive is provided that includes a transmission housing as well as a torque converter rotatably mounted within the transmission housing. The torque converter includes an outer shell configured to be drivingly connected to a crankshaft. An e-motor is integrated into the transmission and includes a stator connected to the transmission housing, a rotor connected to the outer shell, and a controller. An auxiliary drive unit is provided having a drive shaft that is driven by a connection to the torque converter outer shell. A rotor position sensor (RPS) is provided on the drive shaft that is configured to signal rotor position data to the controller. The drive shaft and RPS are offset relative to the axis of the rotor and torque converter, providing better space utilization.

    摘要: A shipping strap for a hybrid module includes a first annular surface, a second annular surface, and a central bore. The first annular surface includes a first orifice for receiving a first fastener for fixing the shipping strap to a hybrid module housing, or receiving a dowel pin for radially positioning the shipping strap relative to the hybrid module housing. The second annular surface includes a second orifice for receiving a second fastener for securing the shipping strap to a rotor for an electric machine to axially position the rotor in the hybrid module housing. In some example embodiments, the shipping strap has a through bore aligned with the central bore, and a lifting element installed in the through bore for installing the hybrid module in a multi-speed transmission. In an example embodiment, the lifting element is installed in the through bore by a threaded connection.

    摘要: A system for selectively locking two coaxial axle shafts of an electric axle is provided. The system includes a first electric motor having a first rotor shaft configured to drive a first axle shaft. The system also includes a second electric motor having a second rotor shaft configured to drive a second axle shaft coaxial with the first axle shaft. An actuator is configured to selectively activate to operate in a safety mode. When operated to assume the safety mode, the actuator causes the first rotor shaft to lock to the second rotor shaft, such that the two shafts rotate in unison. This allows one of the two motors to drive both axle shafts in the event of a fault in one of the motors.

The flow plate assembly is fixed to the housing and includes a first flow plate and a second flow plate. The first flow plate has a radial groove forming a first portion of a radial flow channel. The second flow plate is fixed to the first flow plate and forms a second portion of the radial flow channel.

    摘要: An oil-spray tube assembly includes a tube having an outer circumferential surface, an inner circumferential surface defining a hollow center, a closed distal end, an open proximal end defining an axially recessed annular seat, and an orifice extending between the inner and outer surfaces. A poppet valve has a radially extending flange and is received in the hollow center with the flange disposed on the annular seat. The valve defines an inlet, a cylindrical valve chamber in fluid communication with the inlet, an outlet exiting the valve chamber, and a valve seat between the inlet and the outlet. A ball is disposed within the valve chamber and is movable between a closed position in which the ball is seated on the valve seat to sever fluid communication between the inlet and the outlet and an open position in which the ball is spaced from the valve seat to place the inlet and outlet in fluid communication.
