Abstract: Upon a setting of a reference sample and a setting of an analysis range being received, a reference value selection unit 64 selects a reference value that lies in a predetermined margin from reference sample data 51 corresponding to the reference sample thus set. A data acquisition unit 63 acquires mass spectrum data in a data acquisition range including the analysis range thus set and the margin. A data correction unit 65 corrects the mass spectrum data based on the reference value thus selected and an actual measured value on the reference sample in the data acquisition range. When no reference value lies in a range of the margin, the reference value selection unit 64 selects a reference value that lies outside the analysis range but closest to the range of the margin. The data acquisition unit 63 acquires mass spectrum data in a data acquisition range in which the margin is expanded to allow the reference value thus selected to lie in the data acquisition range. The data correction unit 65 corrects the mass spectrum data based on the reference value selected and the actual measured value corresponding to the reference value in the data acquisition range.

Abstract: Under the control of an analysis control unit (5), a mass spectrometer unit (2) performs a product-ion scan measurement for a target component in a target sample within a time range where the component is introduced. It also performs a scan measurement over an m/z range including the m/z of an ion originating from a standard component within the same segment of time. A mass correction information calculator (42) calculates mass correction information from measured and theoretical values of the m/z of the ion originating from the standard component observed on an MS spectrum obtained by the scan measurement. Using the mass correction information, a mass corrector (43) corrects the m/z of each ion peak originating from the target component observed on an MS/MS spectrum obtained by the product-ion scan measurement performed within the same cycle as the scan measurement concerned. It is possible to consider that the MS measurement and the MS/MS measurement within the same cycle have been almost simultaneously carried out. Accordingly, a mass correction which is almost equivalent to an internal standard method can be achieved.

Abstract: A display area 60 of a display unit of a mass spectrometer shows a result of tuning. The display area 60 includes: a tuning-item displaying section 62 configured to display all tuning items and a result of whether each tuning item has been tuned; and an analyzable-condition displaying section 63 configured to display a condition under which an analysis is possible based on the result. The tuning items may be displayed respectively and individually. Alternatively, the tuning items may be displayed in a grouped manner with a plurality of tuning items in a group. Consequently, a user knows, at a glance, whether the tuning necessary for an analysis that the user intends to perform has been performed. If a necessary tuning item has not been tuned, the user immediately starts to tune (only) the tuning item. Further, a user immediately knows in a current state of tuning whether the analysis that the user intends to perform is possible. Therefore, when the analysis is possible, the user can start the analysis. When the analysis is impossible, the user can tune only the tuning item that has not been tuned and is displayed on the tuning-item displaying section 62.

Abstract: A precursor ion selected by a quadrupole mass filter is fragmented by imparting a predetermined amount of collision energy (CE) to the ion. Among the thereby generated product ions, only the ions included within a predetermined m/z range are stored in an ion trap. The ions are subsequently separated and detected by a TOF. For one precursor ion originating from a target compound, a mass spectrometric analysis is performed for each combination of a plurality of the set CE values and subdivided m/z ranges to obtain spectrum data. A spectrum data accumulator accumulates the spectrum data obtained by the mass spectrometric analysis under different combinations of (CE value, m/z range). Based on the accumulated spectrum data, a mass spectrum creator creates a single product-ion spectrum corresponding to the target compound.

Abstract: Sequential identification numbers are automatically provided and undisplayed, constant, unique numbers are assigned to each event registered in an analysis condition setting table 100. Since correspondence information between the identification numbers and the unique numbers changes due to the reassignment of identification numbers when an event is deleted from the table, event identification numbers for each compound are changed by referring to the correspondence information on a compound information table. As a result, it is possible to avoid the misalignment of event identification numbers between both tables. In addition, when an instruction is given to coordinate the time information or m/z information on both tables, the information on one table is reflected on the other table in accordance with the identification numbers.
