Abstract: A new group of compounds is described, whose members are adapted to catalyze the oxidation of olefins to unsaturated nitriles, and which are represented by the empirical formula: Sb1FemMenCopOq WHEREIN Me is tellurium or arsenic, m is in the range of 0.1 to 1, n is in the range of 0 to 0.5, p is in the range of 0.005 to 1 and q is in the range of 2.2 to 6.5.
