Then, on the basis of a four-dimensional feature amount including Ib, rb and gb, Bb, a region of a subject in an image is classified into a surgical tool, gauze, or the like by a classifier, a region not classified into any of them is recognized as a biological tissue, and AE, AF, and blur correction are performed only with information of the region recognized as the biological tissue. The present disclosure can be applied to an endoscope system, a microscope system, and the like.
