Abstract: A control apparatus and method for a wireless communication system supporting cognitive radio. The control apparatus includes an acquisition unit and a management unit. The acquisition unit is configured to acquire information about at least one factor capable of affecting performance of transferring an access request for a frequency spectrum resource by a communication apparatus, the access request being used for making a request to a device which controls the frequency spectrum allocation for allocating a frequency spectrum to the communication apparatus. The management unit is configured to receive the access request sent by the communication apparatus, and optimize a route for the access request of the communication apparatus according to the acquired factor in the case that the access request contains information indicating that the communication apparatus is a slave apparatus of another communication apparatus.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure include an apparatus at base station side in a wireless communication system for multi-user superposition transmission. The apparatus includes a superposition control unit and an indication generation unit. The superposition control unit is configured to insert, into a data stream of each user equipment in a group of user equipment comprising a plurality of user equipment, a demodulation reference signal corresponding to the data stream, and superpose demodulation reference signals corresponding to data streams of respective user equipment. The indication generation unit is configured to generate, for at least a first user equipment among the plurality of user equipment, an indication regarding a demodulation reference signal corresponding to a data stream of other user equipment among the plurality of user equipment, to assist the first user equipment in demodulating data transmitted in the multi-user superposition transmission.

Abstract: The frequency spectrum management apparatus includes a processing circuit, and the processing circuit is configured to: determine, in response to a frequency spectrum resource request from one or more secondary systems, available frequency spectrum information about each secondary system; determine, according to frequency spectrum management information from the one or more secondary systems, a managed secondary system managed by a frequency spectrum coordination apparatus and a non-managed secondary system not managed by the frequency spectrum coordination apparatus; determine, based on system information about the managed secondary system, a non-managed secondary system, the interference thereof with respect to the managed secondary system exceeding a predetermined threshold value, to be an interference secondary system; and acquire system information, about the interference secondary system, to be sent to the frequency spectrum coordination apparatus, so that the frequency spectrum coordination apparatus coordinates the frequency spectrum usage of the managed secondary system.

Abstract: Provided in the present disclosure are a spectrum management device and method, a geographic location database, a coexistence discovery device, and subsystems for use in a radio communication system comprising a main system and subsystems. The spectrum management device comprises: a processing circuit, which is configured to: acquire spectrum usage information and spectrum adjustment capability information of subsystems managed by the spectrum management device, the spectrum usage information corresponding to information related to used spectrums assigned to and used by each subsystem, the spectrum adjustment capability information corresponding to information related to whether the subsystems support a spectrum adjustment operation, and an adjustment of the spectrums of the subsystems managed by the spectrum management device is determined on the basis of the spectrum usage information and the spectrum adjustment capability information, thus the interference caused by the subsystems as a result of spectrum usage to the main system is limited within a permissible range of the main system. The spectrum management device and method, the geographic location database, the coexistence discovery device, and the subsystems of the present disclosure achieve highly efficient use of spectrum resources.
