    [Solution] A medical observation system includes: a first medical signal processing device including a first signal processing unit configured to acquire first image data corresponding to a result of image capturing of an affected part by a medical observation device and provide first signal processing to the first image data; and a second medical signal processing device including a second signal processing unit configured to acquire second image data corresponding to the result of image capturing from the first medical signal processing device through a predetermined network and provide second signal processing to the second image data. The second signal processing unit transmits information related to the second signal processing to the first medical signal processing device. The first signal processing unit controls the first signal processing in accordance with the second signal processing.

    Abstract: Provided is a medical observation system including a medical observation device and an image processing device. The medical observation device includes a plurality of imaging elements and a branching optical system configured to split incident light into a plurality of rays of light, and each of the plurality of rays of light split by the branching optical system is guided to at least one of the plurality of imaging elements. Of the plurality of imaging elements, two or more imaging elements each capture images having mutually different brightness, and two or more imaging elements are arranged so as to have mutually different optical distances from the branching optical system. The image processing device generates at least one of a first composite image based on a plurality of images having mutually different brightness, the first composite image having a wider dynamic range than each of the plurality of images, or a second composite image based on a plurality of images captured by each of the two or more imaging elements having different optical distances from the branching optical system, the second composite image having a deeper depth of field than each of the plurality of images.

    Abstract: The present technology relates to an endoscope apparatus configured to be capable of assisting with setting of an angle of view of immediately before an endoscope is pulled out when the endoscope is pulled out and cleaned and then reinserted during surgery in endoscopic surgery and the like, and a method and program for operating the endoscope apparatus. An image captured by the endoscope apparatus is recorded, a feature value of the image captured is detected, a difference between detected feature values of consecutive images is obtained, and, when the difference is greater than a predetermined threshold value, an index is added to the image captured. Thus, the index is added to an image of immediately before the endoscope is pulled out from a body cavity, and the image is recorded. Then, when the endoscope is pulled out and then reinserted, the images each to which the index is added are displayed as a list, and information indicating an angle of view in an image selected is displayed to be superimposed on information indicating an angle of view of an image currently captured after reinsertion, whereby assist display to an original angle of view is obtained. The present technology can be applied to the endoscope apparatus.

    Abstract: [Object] To make it possible to further improve the convenience of a user.[Solution] Provided is an image processing device including: a matching unit that performs matching processing between a predetermined pattern on a surface of a 3D model of a biological tissue including an operating site generated on the basis of a preoperative diagnosis image and a predetermined pattern on a surface of the biological tissue included in a captured image during surgery; a shift amount estimation unit that estimates an amount of deformation from a preoperative state of the biological tissue on the basis of a result of the matching processing and information regarding a three-dimensional position of a photographing region which is a region photographed during surgery on the surface of the biological tissue; and a 3D model update unit that updates the 3D model generated before surgery on the basis of the estimated amount of deformation of the biological tissue.
