Abstract:
An electrical switch assembly having its component parts arranged so a maximum number of the common parts can be used in a flush mounted control station or a surface mounted control station with either of the control stations having rectilinearly moving or rotatable switch operators. The assembly includes components which operate on selected centers so the components may be selectively arranged to be used with two different switch covers, two different type switch actuators and with or without a pilot light. The components also are arranged so the rectilinearly movable operators may be interlocked or made to operate alternately and the rotary operator to be programmed to operate in a two or three position mode of operation.
Abstract:
A switching mechanism has an operating arm pivotably movable in selected directions about an intermediate pivot point and the arm drives at least one camming member for operating a second cam in a cam-actuated self-restoring contact module. Mechanisms are provided for momentarily or maintained switching operations for up to nine positions for four contact modules, for mastered control of a fifth contact module in each position, and for a latched central position.
Abstract:
The connector includes a connector body having a wire-receiving aperture therein and also having a threaded opening therein extending generally parallel to the wire-receiving aperture, a screw mounted in the threaded opening, and a generally C-shaped clamping member having an actuating portion loosely mounted on the screw and a clamping portion disposed in the wire-receiving aperture, the clamping member being fulcrumed on an edge of the wire-receiving aperture.
Abstract:
A plurality of modular contact units are adapted for attachment to a housing containing an operating means which may be of either the push-button or selector switch variety. Each contact unit comprises a single pair of contacts and indicating means to display the condition of the pair of contacts. Camming means may be interchangeably attached to the operating means externally of the switch units. Selector switch operation provides maintained switching for up to eight positions, momentary switching, or momentary-maintained switching. Selector switch cams may be double stacked to provide a maximum number of switching programs with a minimum number of parts. The operating means may be illuminated or non-illuminated and is adaptable for use as a pilot light or a push-to-test unit.
