摘要: A display device includes: a substrate; a gate line disposed on the substrate and extending in a first direction; a data line insulated from the gate line and extending in a second direction intersecting the first direction; a pixel electrode disposed in a pixel region defined by the gate line and the data line; a source electrode connected to the data line; a drain electrode spaced apart from the source electrode; and a color filter layer disposed on the data line, the source electrode, and the drain electrode. The color filter layer includes: a first contact hole exposing the drain electrode, and a second contact hole disposed over at least one of the source electrode and the drain electrode. The pixel electrode is disposed on the color filter layer and is connected to the drain electrode through the first contact hole.

摘要: A curved liquid crystal display is provided. The curved liquid crystal display includes: a first curved substrate; a second curved substrate; a liquid crystal layer including liquid crystal molecules having negative dielectric anisotropy, the liquid crystal layer being interposed between the first and second curved substrates; a first curved liquid crystal alignment layer interposed between the liquid crystal layer and the first curved substrate; and a second curved liquid crystal alignment layer interposed between the liquid crystal layer and the second curved substrate. The first curved liquid crystal alignment layer includes protrusions protruded toward the second curved liquid crystal alignment layer. The second curved liquid crystal alignment layer includes protrusions protruded toward the first curved liquid crystal alignment layer. An average number of the protrusions on the second curved liquid crystal alignment layer is greater than an average number of protrusions on the first curved liquid crystal alignment layer.

摘要: A liquid crystal display device includes: first and second substrates facing each other and including a plurality of pixels; a liquid crystal layer between the first and second substrates and including a liquid crystal mixture. The first substrate includes a pixel electrode in each pixel. The pixel electrode includes a stem electrode extending in a first direction and a second direction in a cross shape and dividing the pixel into first to fourth domains; and branch electrodes disposed in the first to fourth domains and extending from the stem electrode in a tilted direction to the first and second directions. The branch electrodes disposed in two adjacent domains extend to have angles different from each other with respect to the first direction and the second direction. The liquid crystal mixture includes liquid crystals, and a dopant which adjusts a pitch of the liquid crystals.
