    Abstract: Embodiments provide a window and a display device including the window. The window includes a base substrate including a first surface and a second surface which face each other, and a filling portion. The base substrate has a concave portion defined on at least one of the first surface and the second surface, a difference between a refractive index of the base substrate at a wavelength of about 589 nm and a refractive index of the filling portion is less than or equal to about 0.02, a difference between an Abbe No. of the base substrate and an Abbe No. of the filling portion is less than or equal to about 5.0, and the filling portion fills the concave portion. The window and the display thus exhibits satisfactory folding properties and impact resistance, as well as improved optical properties and display quality that prevent reflection color from being viewed.

    Abstract: A display device includes a window module disposed on a display module. The display module has a peripheral region disposed on at least one side of an active region. The window module includes a pattern layer disposed adjacent to a window and overlapping the active region and the peripheral region. The pattern layer includes a transparent portion and a discoloration portion having a light transmittance lower than that of the transparent portion. Each of the transparent portion and the discoloration portion includes a discoloration inducer activated by a laser, so that the display device exhibits good display quality and excellent reliability properties.

    Abstract: A backlight unit includes a light source. A light guide plate receives light supplied from the light source at an incident light part of the light guide plate. A reflective sheet is positioned below the light guide plate and reflects light upwardly.
