    Abstract: A method of fabricating a display device may include the following steps: patterning a light blocking layer on a first surface of a first substrate, forming a color filter layer on a second surface of the first substrate opposite the first surface after the patterning of the light blocking layer, and forming a light conversion layer including a plurality of conversion filters on the first surface of the first substrate after the forming of the color filter layer. Each of the conversion filters may include a plurality of conversion particles, and the color filter layer may be formed to selectively transmit light emitted from each of the conversion filters.

    Abstract: A display panel includes a display layer including a light emitting element generating a source light, a first color filter on the display layer, a first color control layer between the display layer and the first color filter and including a first surface facing the first display layer and a second surface facing the first color filter, and a plurality of capping layers encapsulating the first color control layer. Among the capping layers, a capping layer between the first surface of the first color control layer and the display layer has a first-first thickness that is different from a second-first thickness of a capping layer between the second surface of the first color control layer and the first color filter.

    Abstract: A curved display device includes a display substrate, an opposite substrate, and a liquid crystal layer interposed between the display substrate and the opposite substrate. The display substrate is curved along a first direction and includes a pixel electrode and a second alignment layer disposed on the pixel electrode. The opposite substrate is coupled to the display substrate to be curved along the first direction and includes a common electrode and a first alignment layer disposed on the common electrode. The first alignment layer comprises different material from the second alignment layer. The pixel electrode includes branch portions extending in a direction inclined with respect to the first direction when viewed in a plan view, and a pitch, which is defined by a sum of a width of each branch portion and a distance between the branch portions, is within a range from about 7.5 micrometers to about 8.5 micrometers.

    Abstract: A method of manufacturing a display device includes forming a color filter layer (CFL), and forming a light control layer (LCL) on the CFL. Forming the LCL includes: forming, on the CFL, preliminary partition parts (PPPs) spaced apart from each other; forming a preliminary light control part (PLCP) by providing a quantum dot (QD) solution between the PPPs, the QD solution including a QD and a base resin; forming a light control part (LCP) by volatilizing the base resin from the PLCP; and forming partition parts by reducing a thickness of the PPPs. A ratio between a first weight ratio (WR) of the QD in the PLCP and a second WR of the QD in the LCP is about 1:1.1 to about 1:3.0. The first WR is a WR of the QD in the entire PLCP, and the second WR is a WR of the QD in the entire LCP.
