Abstract: A power supply device includes a power circuit, feedback circuit, compensation circuit, and PWM controller. The power circuit generates an output voltage based on a PWM signal. The feedback circuit outputs a feedback voltage. The compensation circuit compares a reference voltage with the feedback voltage and outputs a compensation signal based on a comparison result. The PWM controller adjusts the duty ratio of the PWM signal based on the compensation signal. The compensation circuit includes a comparator to compare the feedback voltage with the reference voltage, a first voltage adjuster to adjust a voltage level of a compensation voltage based on the comparison result, and a compensator output the compensation signal based on the voltage level of the compensation voltage. The compensation signal has a width in a high section that varies. The booster boosts the response speed of the compensator in a predetermined section based on a control signal.

Abstract: A liquid crystal display device according to the present disclosure includes a timing controller, a power supply unit, a data supply unit, and a liquid crystal display panel. The timing controller analyzes image data to sense a target pattern, and generates an operating signal in a case where the target pattern is sensed. The power supply unit generates first to fourth gamma voltages in a case where the operating signal is not received. The power supply unit generates first to fourth modulation voltages after a variable time in a case where the operating signal is received. The difference between the first and second modulation voltages is smaller than the difference between the first and second gamma voltages, and the difference between the third and fourth modulation voltages is smaller than the difference between the third and fourth gamma voltages.

Abstract: A voltage generation circuit of a display device includes an over-current detection circuit that provides a driving voltage to a voltage terminal and outputs an over-current detection signal. The over-current detection circuit includes a current detector that outputs a detection signal at a first level when a voltage corresponding to an output current flowing through the voltage terminal during a blank period, in which a blank signal is activated, is lower than a first reference level or higher than a second reference level, a glitch remover that outputs a noise detection signal when a time period in which the detection signal is maintained at the first level is longer than a reference maintenance time, and a noise filter that activates the over-current detection signal when the noise detection signal is activated at least twice during a predetermined time period.

Abstract: A display device includes a display panel, pixels on the display panel, data and gate drivers, a timing controller which applies control signals respectively to the data and gate drivers, and a power management integrated circuit (“PMIC”) which applies a driving voltage to the data and gate drivers. The timing controller detects an operational condition of the display panel and selects one of stored power setting values to output the selected one of the power setting values to the PMIC. The PMIC includes, first and second storage banks, a controller which receives the power setting value from the timing controller, stores the power setting value in one of the first and second storage banks, and calls the stored power setting value to determine the driving voltage, and a power generator which applies the driving voltage based on the driving voltage determined by the controller.
