Abstract: Provided is an image decoding method including: obtaining, from a bitstream, a syntax element regarding multiple transform selection (MTS) with respect to a current coding unit or a current transform unit included in the current coding unit; determining a horizontal transform kernel or a vertical transform kernel with respect to the current transform unit based on the obtained syntax element; obtaining a residual signal by performing inverse transformation on the current transform unit, based on the determined horizontal transform kernel or vertical transform kernel with respect to the current transform unit; and generating a reconstruction block including the current coding unit or the current transform unit based on the residual signal with respect to the current transform unit.

Abstract: A video decoding method includes, when inter prediction of a current block is performed in an affine merge mode, generating an affine merge candidate list including a control point-based affine merge candidate corresponding to control point motion vectors determined by using motion vectors of neighboring blocks included in a block group of representative neighboring blocks according to corners of the current block, determining an affine motion vector of the current block by using control point motion vectors corresponding to a merge candidate selected from the affine merge candidate list, and obtaining prediction samples of the current block by using the affine motion vector of the current block, wherein when a right block of the current block is available, a representative neighboring block adjacent to a lower right corner of the current block is a block whose available motion information is obtained from among a neighboring block adjacent to the lower right corner of the current block and a right boundary of the current block and a neighboring block diagonally adjacent to the lower right corner of the current block.

Abstract: Disclosed is an image decoding method according to an embodiment, the image decoding method including: obtaining a first reference block and a second reference block, for bi-directional prediction of a current block; obtaining, from a bitstream, weight information for combining the first reference block with the second reference block; performing entropy decoding on the weight information to obtain a weight index; combining the first reference block with the second reference block according to a candidate value indicated by the weight index among candidate values included in a weight candidate group; and reconstructing the current block based on a result of the combining, wherein a first binary value corresponding to the weight index is entropy-decoded based on a context model, and the remaining binary value corresponding to the weight index is entropy-decoded by a bypass method.
