An electronic device and a method for setting image quality are provided. An electronic device includes a camera, a memory, and a processor configured to obtain, using the camera, a plurality of images for one or more external objects, identify a region of interest and a background region using one or more images of the plurality of images, recognize a first object included in the region of the interest, identify a type of the background region by recognizing a second object included in the background region, determine a scene corresponding to the one or more images, based on the recognized first object and the identified type of the background region, and adjust at least one of an image quality setting associated with the camera or an image quality setting associated with the one or more images using a specified image quality setting corresponding to the determined scene.

An electronic device and a method for providing a service corresponding to the selection of an object in an image are provided. The electronic device includes a camera, a display, a memory, and a processor operationally connected to the camera, the display, and the memory, wherein the processor can be configured to detect a plurality of object regions included in an image acquired using the camera, remove object regions having a size exceeding a threshold range from among the detected plurality of object regions, calculate the importance of objects within the threshold range, select a number of main objects that is no greater than the number of objects allowed by the electronic device, select auxiliary objects spatially related to the selected main objects, recognize the main objects and the auxiliary objects, recognize service attributes provided by the recognized main objects and auxiliary objects, determine services provided by the main objects and the auxiliary objects, and display the determined services on the display.

An electronic device includes a display, and a processor functionally connected with the display. The processor is configured to output content including one or more objects through the display, receive user input for specifying at least one point in the entire region of the content, determine a portion of an entire region with respect to the at least one point as a search region, obtain a saliency map associated with the content based on the search region, and determine a region of interest of the user based on the saliency map. Alternatively, the processor is configured to obtain an index map associated with the content by dividing the entire region of the content into similar regions according to a preset criterion and determine the region of interest of the user by overlapping the saliency map and the index map.
