A method and apparatus for customizing audio signal processing for a user by a mobile device is provided. The method includes identifying hearing characteristics of the user by testing hearing abilities of the user, by the mobile device, at a plurality of frequencies; adjusting a dynamic range of each of the plurality of frequencies based on the hearing characteristics; processing a decoded audio signal based on the adjusted dynamic range of each of the plurality of frequencies; and outputting the processed audio signal.

A method and an apparatus for customizing audio data processing are provided. The method includes receiving audio data through a wireless communication channel from an external device; decoding the received audio data; reducing noise of the decoded audio data; identifying hearing characteristics of a user by testing hearing abilities of the user at a plurality of frequency bands; adjusting a dynamic range of each of the plurality of frequency bands based on the hearing characteristics; processing the noise-reduced audio data based on the adjusted dynamic range of each of the plurality of frequency bands; and outputting the processed audio data.

Provided is an electronic device for controlling surface heart and a method of controlling the electronic device. The electronic device includes a speaker, a temperature sensor, a memory, and a processor electrically coupled to the speaker, the temperature sensor, and the memory. The processor obtains first temperature information based on impedance information measured in a coil included in the speaker; obtains second temperature information measured by the temperature sensor, the second temperature information based on a heat source disposed adjacent to the speaker; predicts a surface temperature of a surface area of the electronic device, opposite to an internal area in which the speaker is disposed, based on the first temperature information and the second temperature information using a nonlinear approximation function; and controls an audio signal input to the speaker based on the predicted surface temperature.

An electronic device for processing an audio signal is provided. The electronic device includes a communication circuit, a microphone, a connector and a processor. The processor identifies whether the external cable connected with a first external electronic device and including a resistor having a resistance value equal to or greater than a designated resistance value is connected to the connector, and in response to identifying that the external cable is connected to the connector, transmit a first audio signal to the first external electronic device through the external cable, and receive a second audio signal including an echo signal and a voice signal through the microphone, and cancel the echo signal corresponding to the first audio signal, based at least partly on a delay time corresponding to the external cable and a parameter related with a filter corresponding to the external cable.

An electronic device and an operating method thereof for identifying a noise control parameter on the basis of network connection information are provided. The electronic device includes a wireless communication circuit, and a processor. The processor is configured to acquire network connection information of an external electronic device which is call connected, through the wireless communication circuit, identify at least one noise control parameter, on the basis of the acquired network connection information, receive an audio signal from the external electronic device, through the wireless communication circuit, and suppress a noise in the audio signal, on the basis of the identified at least one noise control parameter.

The electronic device includes a communication module configured to provide a voice call service with a counterpart electronic device, a memory configured to store one or more noise cancellation variables, and a processor configured to, when a call with the counterpart electronic device is configured through the communication module, select a noise cancellation variable corresponding to a reception signal strength from the memory and cancel an audio signal noise based on a noise cancellation variable corresponding to the reception signal.
