Abstract: Disclosed is a 5G or pre-5G communication system. To this end, an electronic device transmits a request message to a server through each of a plurality of communication paths at least based on a multi-radio access technology, and receives a video segment from the server through each of the plurality of communication paths according to the request message. The electronic device estimates a transmission quality at each communication path on the basis of video segments received for each of the plurality of communication paths at a radio search point satisfying at least one preset condition. The electronic device can determine, by the transmission quality estimated according to each of the plurality of communication paths and the preset reference transmission quality, one communication mode, among a plurality of communication modes, for designating at least one communication path for supporting the video streaming, among the plurality of communication paths.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a 5G or pre-5G communication system to be provided to support a higher data transmission rate after a 4G communication system such as LTE. Disclosed is a method and device for providing a data service through a mobile communication network. The method of the present invention comprises the steps of: receiving a connection request message including a device identifier of a terminal which is not subscribed to a mobile communication network; determining, using the device identifier of the terminal, whether the terminal corresponds to a contract for using the mobile communication network; configuring the terminal to perform limited access to the mobile communication network according to the contract when the terminal corresponds to the contract for using the mobile communication network; and transmitting, to the terminal, a connection acceptance message granting the limited access.

Abstract: A method for performing communication by a cellular base station in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes performing channel contention for occupying a channel of an unlicensed band, if the channel of the unlicensed band is occupied, the cellular base station transmits a first message including information about a time period in which the channel of the unlicensed band is usable, to at least one first User Equipment (UE) that performs communication in the channel of the unlicensed band using a first communication scheme, and communicating with a second UE using a second communication scheme different from the first communication scheme in the channel of the unlicensed band during a time period corresponding to the time period information. The second communication scheme corresponds to a cellular communication scheme, and the first message is transmitted to the at least one first UE based on the first communication scheme.
