A method and an apparatus for providing, setting, maintaining, and releasing a packet data network (PDN) connection on the basis of a local area in a wireless communication system are provided. The method includes receiving the PDN subscription information on the basis of the local area from a business operator server, inspecting whether the current location information for the terminal exists in the PDN subscription information on the basis of the local area, and starting a procedure for setting the PDN on the basis of the local area when the current location information exists therein.

The present invention relates to a 5G or pre-5G communication system for supporting high data throughput beyond the 4G communication systems such as LTE. A method for a server for supporting the mobility of a user equipment (UE) in a mobile communication network comprises the steps of: establishing an IP flow with the UE utilizing a first IP address to transceive data; receiving a message comprising a second IP address allocated to the UE and an identifier for the IP flow; generating a tunnel interface for communicating with the UE having the second IP address as the ending IP address, and binding the IP flow allocated to the identifier to the generated tunnel interface; and transceiving data with the UE by means of the tunnel interface.

The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for accessing the web in a network system in which pre-fetching of web pages is supported. To that end, when DNS processing is requested, a user terminal provides URL information to which a connection is anticipated to a proxy server via a DNS server. The proxy server can, via the DNS server and by means of the URL information received from the user terminal, pre-fetch information about a web page to which a connection is anticipated via a user terminal. That is, the proxy server configures a TCP session with a web server before a TCP session configuration request is received from the user terminal. Furthermore, by acquiring and storing necessary web page information before an HTTP request from the user terminal is received, the proxy server can immediately provide the web page information which has been in storage in response to an HTTP request from the user terminal.

A method of a terminal for providing a video service in a communication system is provided. The method includes requesting a server to transmit first video data in a maximum available bandwidth, receiving, from the server, the first video data in the maximum available bandwidth, determining a first bandwidth for the first video data and a second bandwidth for second video data within the maximum available bandwidth so that the first video data and the second video data have differential image qualities when an event of requesting the second video data is detected, requesting the server to transmit the first video data in the first bandwidth and to transmit the second video data in the second bandwidth, and receiving the first video data in the first bandwidth and receiving the second video data in the second bandwidth from the server.

Disclosed is a method for providing a data service in a global virtual network provider of a wireless communication system, comprising the steps of: determining a wireless network for providing a data service on the basis of at least one of a service type, service quality, and price information required by a user; and transmitting, to a terminal, wireless network information including the determined wireless network, wherein the terminal and the determined wireless network are temporarily connected before the wireless network is determined.

The system includes a contextual reasoned for searching for a first third party task provider supporting a first task required by a user input by using natural language input patterns for tasks supported by services operated by the third party task providers; and a server comprised of a task delegate unit for providing to the user a service and an action required by the user input for the first task, and providing additional service and actions supporting the first task to the user regardless of the user input.

The present disclosure relates to a 5G or pre-5G communication system to be provided to support a higher data transmission rate after a 4G communication system such as LTE. Disclosed is a method and device for providing a data service through a mobile communication network. The method of the present invention comprises the steps of: receiving a connection request message including a device identifier of a terminal which is not subscribed to a mobile communication network; determining, using the device identifier of the terminal, whether the terminal corresponds to a contract for using the mobile communication network; configuring the terminal to perform limited access to the mobile communication network according to the contract when the terminal corresponds to the contract for using the mobile communication network; and transmitting, to the terminal, a connection acceptance message granting the limited access.

Disclosed are a method and apparatus for determining a window size in a wireless communication system. The method includes determining an uplink data rate of the UE on a wireless link, determining that a maximum data size transmittable through an internet session including the wireless link is the window size for the internet session based on the uplink data rate, and transmitting uplink data through the internet session based on the determined window size.

The present disclosure relates to a communication technique for converging IoT technology with a 5G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate than a 4G system, and a system therefor. The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on 5G communication technology and IoT-related technology (e.g. smart homes, smart buildings, smart cities, smart cars, connected cars, healthcare, digital education, retail business, services related to security and safety, etc.). A method for receiving image data for a virtual-reality streaming service by an electronic device according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a step in which the electronic device determines whether to execute an adaptive virtual-reality streaming service on the basis of a bandwidth state; and a step in which, if it is determined to execute the adaptive virtual-reality streaming service, the electronic device requests and receives, from a server, the image data for the adaptive virtual-reality streaming service on the basis of head-tracking information and bandwidth information collected in advance.
