    Abstract: An electronic device according to various embodiments may comprise a display panel, a processor, and a display driver circuit including an internal memory and configured to drive the display panel, wherein the display driver circuit may be configured to: receive, from the processor, movement information of a designated content to be displayed on the display panel while the processor operates in a low power state; store the movement information in the internal memory; display the designated content at a first position on the display panel while the processor operates in the low power state; and move the designated content displayed at the first position to a second position on the display panel and display the same at the second position, at least on the basis of the movement information stored in the internal memory while the processor operates in the low power state.

    Abstract: Various embodiments disclosed in the present disclosure relate to an electronic device and a method for preventing/reducing or avoiding screen burn-in on a display. According to an embodiment, the electronic device may comprise: a housing, a display, a memory, and at least one processor, comprising processing circuitry, electrically connected to the display and the memory. The electronic device may be configured to: set at least one content to be displayed in a first area of the display based on a cover mounted on a part of the housing being closed; generate an image to prevent or reduce burn-in occurring in the first area; correct at least one set content by applying the generated image; based on identifying that the cover is closed, control the display to display the at least one corrected content in the first area and a part of a boundary area of the first area. The first area may be a partial area of the display that is visible without being covered by the cover when the cover is closed.
