An image forming apparatus which includes a main body, an image forming unit to form an image on a printing medium, a plate to open and close a first side of the main body; a pickup unit which includes a driven gear to rotate in forward and backward directions, a pickup roller to receive a driving force from the driven gear to pick up the printing medium disposed on the plate, and a support frame to rotatably support the pickup roller and to interlock with the forward and backward rotations of the driven gear to move toward and away from the plate, a driving source to drive the image forming unit and the driven gear, and a blocking gear disposed between the driven gear and the driving source, to prevent the support frame, spaced apart from the plate, from moving toward the plate.

A universal serial bus (USB) device, an electronic apparatus including the same and a control method thereof are provided. The electronic apparatus includes a signal transceiver configured to transmit and receive a signal to and from an external apparatus; a first processor configured to communicate with the external apparatus; a switching unit configure to selectively supply a signal generating power to a signal transmission line between the signal transceiver and the first processor; a second processor configured to control the switching unit to generate a conversion signal corresponding to a predetermined event signal if the signal received from the external apparatus comprises the predetermined event signal; and a third processor configured to control the first processor to communicate with the external apparatus if the conversion signal is received.

An electronic device which has a self diagnosis function and a self diagnosis method using the same are provided. The electronic device includes: an interface which receives a user's selection signal for a hardware of an object to be diagnosed; and a controller which provides a plurality of lines connected to the hardware of the object to be diagnosed with a signal for diagnosis according to the selection signal which is received through the interface and calculates a diagnosis result for the hardware of diagnosis object according to a comparison result of the signal for diagnosis with a return signal which is returned from the hardware of the object to be diagnosed by a loop-back.

An image processing apparatus including: a signal reception unit including a connector that is configured to connect to a plug of an external device and includes a first terminal and a second terminal, the signal reception unit being configured to receive a signal from the external device through the plug connected to the connector; a signal processor that processes the signal received by the signal reception unit according to a preset process; a storage that stores a test signal; and a controller that transmits the test signal stored in the storage to the first terminal when the first terminal and the second terminal are electrically connected to each other, and determines a signal transmission state of the connector to the signal processor based on a change in signal characteristics of the test signal fed back through the second terminal.

A duct type air conditioning apparatus is provided with a blowing portion including a first cabinet in which a blower assembly is installed and a heat exchanging portion including a second cabinet in which a heat exchanger is installed. The air conditioning apparatus includes a partition panel arranged between the first and second cabinets and connected to facing sides of the first and second cabinet, and first and second link members separably fastened along an upper end and a lower end of the partition panel to keep an airtight seal in a connection portion between the first and second cabinets.
