    摘要: A communication method and apparatus using analog and digital hybrid beamforming are provided. The method includes receiving a first message including a measurement and selection condition for hybrid beamforming from a Base Station (BS), measuring channels of a plurality of BS transmission beams, selecting at least one BS transmission beam based on channel measurements, transmitting report information about the selected at least one BS transmission beam to the BS, receiving from the BS a second message, estimating an effective channel matrix for the selected final BS transmission beam according to the measurement and report condition, determining feedback information for digital beamforming of the BS based on the effective channel matrix, transmitting the determined feedback information to the BS, and receiving a data burst from the BS according to a Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) mode and/or a configuration scheduled based on the feedback information.

    摘要: The present disclosure relates to a 5G or pre-5G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate beyond a 4G communication system such as LTE. The present disclosure provides a method for supporting a device performing narrow band Internet of things (IoT) communication by a base station in a cellular system, the method comprising the operations of: transmitting a synchronization sequence for synchronization between the base station and the device performing the narrow IoT communication; transmitting system information including a two-bit mode indication field which indicates an operation mode for performing the narrow IoT communication, the operation corresponding to one of a plurality of operation modes; and transmitting a control channel and a data channel on the basis of parameters for the narrow band IoT communication, the parameter being included in the system information, wherein the operation modes include at least one of a standalone mode, a guard-band mode, an in-band mode in which the cellular system and the narrow band IoT communication use a common cell ID, or an in-band mode in which the cellular system and the narrow band IoT communication use different cell IDs.

In the method, a plurality of downlink reference signals are received from a base station and at least one downlink transmission beam pattern is determined. A method for adjusting a receive beam gain by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes estimating a received signal quality value based on a reference signal received from a base station (BS), transmitting information about the estimated received signal quality value to the BS, comparing the received signal quality value with a minimum received signal quality value required for successful reception of data from the BS, and adjusting a receive beam gain to be used for data reception by turning on/off a radio frequency (RF) chain formed for each of antennas included in the UE based on a result of the comparison.
