    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a 5th generation (5G) or pre-5G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate than a 4th generation (4G) communication system such as Long-Term Evolution (LTE). The present disclosure provides a device for variable signal attenuation equipped in a stack-up structure inside an RFIC. The device for signal attenuation comprises: a first transmission line positioned on a first layer inside the RFIC; a second transmission line positioned on a second layer, which is adjacent to the first layer, and electromagnetically coupled to the first transmission line; and a control unit. The first transmission line comprises an impedance control unit on one side. The control unit can variably control the impedance control unit.

    Abstract: A communication method and system for converging a 5th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT) are provided. The disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services. An amplifier includes a first transistor for amplifying the fundamental signal applied to a gate terminal, and a second transistor having a source terminal electrically connected to the drain terminal of the first transistor and a drain terminal electrically connected to a bias voltage. The current flowing through the second transistor may be determined based on the current flowing in the drain terminal of the first transistor.

The disclosure provides a mixer including a first impedance connected in parallel to a mixer output transformer and configured to remove a primary local frequency component generated at an output of the mixer, and a second impedance connected in parallel to the mixer output transformer and configured to remove a secondary local frequency component generated at the output of the mixer, wherein the first impedance operates as a series resonator in a primary local frequency band, and the second impedance operates as a parallel resonator in a secondary local frequency band.

The present invention relates to a technique for implementing, in a compact form, a four-way power divider and combiner for a phased array system. More particularly, according to one embodiment of the present invention, a power divider including one input port and four output ports comprises an input terminal inductor having one end connected to the input port and the other end connected to the ground, an inductor group including four output terminal inductors, and four connection units for connecting the input port and the inductor group, wherein four secondary inductors are respectively connected to the four connection units so that four nodes are formed between the four connection units and the inductor group, and the output ports are respectively disposed on the four connection units between the input port and the inductor group.

In an embodiment, an electronic device includes a first processor configured to output a first signal for generating a first frequency signal, a second processor configured to output a second signal for generating a second frequency signal, a first radio frequency (RF) chip configured to output the first frequency signal, based on the first signal received from the first processor and a baseband signal, and a second RF chip configured to output the second frequency signal, based on the second signal received from the second processor and the first frequency signal outputted from the first RF chip.
