    Abstract: A method of operating a lock screen of an electronic device provided with a touch screen and an electronic device, in which a user can more conveniently unlock the lock screen through a user input and feedback in response to the user input, without looking at the electronic device is provided. The method includes receiving a user input while a lock screen function is operated, providing feedback configured in response to the user input, comparing input information according to the user input with preconfigured pattern information, and operating the lock screen according to whether the input information accords with the pattern information.
