    Abstract: Provided is a photoplethysmogram (PPG) sensing module including one or more light sources that emit light to a user; a plurality of optical sensors that receive reflected light from the user and generate sensing signals, each of the sensing signals being generated by one of the optical sensors; a read-out signal generating circuit that receives the sensing signals from the optical sensors and generate read-out signals by performing an analog-to-digital conversion on the sensing signals; and a signal processing circuit that receives the read-out signals, classifies the read-out signals according to one or more movement patterns of the user, measures a movement component of the user based on the classified read-out signals, and generates a PPG signal in which the movement component is removed.

    Abstract: An electronic device includes a pop-up device configured to be inserted into a main body of the electronic device in an inserted state, including a gas sensor including a sensor block for sensing a gas, and configured to expose the sensor block to an outer portion of the electronic device in a pop-up state; a power supplier arranged on an outer portion of the pop-up device, configured to supply electric power to the gas sensor; and a connection controller configured to control a connection state of the pop-up device, to block supply of electric power to the gas sensor when the pop-up device is in the inserted state and to supply electric power to the gas sensor when the pop-up device is in the pop-up state, including one or more terminals formed on the pop-up device that move together with the pop-up device when the pop-up device moves.

    Abstract: An electromagnetic (EM) sensor includes a front-end module, a memory, and a microcontroller unit. The front-end module generates an electromagnetic signal using externally introduced electromagnetic waves. The memory stores a first reference signal and a second reference signal generated from multiple probability models required to recognize the electromagnetic signal. The microcontroller unit compares the electromagnetic signal with the first reference signal and the second reference signal, to determine whether the electromagnetic signal is a valid signal.
