A method and apparatus for sharing messages or contents based on the location information is provided. The method includes receiving a message including content and a location information of the content from at least one sending terminal. The method also includes storing the content and the location information of the content. The method also includes receiving a service request from at least one receiving terminal. The method further includes providing the receiving terminal with content state information based on the location information of the content. The location information of the content includes first location information based on a location of the sending terminal and second location information of a location where the content is posted.

The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services. Link setup using different Radio Access Technologies (RATs) in a wireless communication system is provided. A method for operating a device supporting a first RAT and a second RAT includes sending information notifying a discovery interval start time for the second RAT, using the first RAT, and sending discovery signals during the discovery interval using the second RAT.

The present disclosure may be used for an intelligence service (smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car or connected car, health care, digital education, retail business, and security and safety-related service). An electronic device and an operation method for sharing a service or contents between electronic devices through a user's simple motion are provided. The method includes, displaying a user interface (UI) for contents, the UI comprising a object for sharing the contents, transmitting a signal for determining a distance between each of the at least another electronic device and the electronic device to at least another electronic device in response to an input for the object, and transmitting information for the contents to the first electronic device via a peer-to-peer (P2P) communication in response to receiving a first signal from a first electronic device.

A management device in a wireless communication system according to various embodiments of the present disclosure may include at least one transceiver, and at least one processor operatively coupled to the at least one transceiver. The at least one processor may be allocate a first time resource to a first base station to transmit a first measurement signal by using a first beam of the first base station, and allocate a second time resource to a second base station to transmit a second measurement signal by using a second beam of a second base station adjacent to the first base station on a designated path. The first beam and the second beam may be configured to communicate with a terminal on the designated path.
