    Abstract: A backlight module includes a pixel driver integrated circuit (PDIC) configured to generate a switch control signal and a pulse control signal, the pulse control signal including timing information and dimming data, a pixel integrated circuit (PIC) configured to generate a pulse modulation signal based on the pulse control signal, a switch group configured to transfer a driving voltage based on the switch control signal, and a backlight unit (BLU) including a first end connected to the switch group and a second end connected to the PIC, the BLU configured to emit light on a panel based on the driving voltage and the pulse modulation signal, where the PDIC is configured to generate the switch control signal and the pulse control signal such that a light emitting diode emits light at a time point at which a pixel of the panel operates.

    Abstract: A backlight system includes a plurality of pixel ICs respectively including a plurality of channels connected to a plurality of LEDs and that control the LEDs to be turned on and off through the channels, and a driver IC connected to the pixel ICs and that supplies a data signal to each of the pixel ICs. The pixel ICs include a first pixel IC connected to first LEDs and a second pixel IC connected to second LEDs. The first pixel IC turns the first LEDs on or off in a first order based on first control data included in the data signal, and the second pixel IC turns the second LEDs on or off in a second order different from the first order based on second control data included in the data signal.

    Abstract: A display device is provided. The display device includes: a pixel array including pixels connected to gate lines and source lines; and a driving circuit configured to: apply gate signals to the gate lines and provide data signals to the source lines during a first scan period such that horizontal periods of the gate signals do not overlap each other, and apply the gate signals to first gate lines, of the gate lines, connected to pixels in a first area of the pixel array in a different manner from second gate lines, of the gate lines, connected to pixels in a second area of the pixel array for a portion of a second scan period, provide the data signals to the source lines, and maintain a low-biased state or an off state for a remaining portion of the second scan period.

    Abstract: Disclosed is integrated circuit panel which detects fault of a driving circuit. The integrated circuit panel includes: a driving circuit array including first and second driving circuits; a data driver configured to output first and second input data signals through first and second data lines, respectively; a switch driver configured to output a switching signal through a switch line; and an error detection driver configured to receive first and second output data signals through first and second test lines, respectively, wherein, in response to the switching signal, the first and second driving circuits are configured to output the first and second output data signals, which are based on the first and second input data signal, through the first and second test lines, respectively, and the error detection driver is configured to detect a fault of the first or second driving circuit based on the first or second output data signal.

    Abstract: An apparatus for detecting biometric information of a living body detects a pulse wave and extracts the biometric information of the living body in a non-invasive method. The apparatus for detecting biometric information includes a surface pulse wave measurement unit for measuring a surface pulse wave of an object. The surface pulse wave measurement unit includes at least one light source that radiates incoherent light and at least one photodetector that measures an intensity of light radiated by the at least one light source and reflected from a surface of the object. The surface pulse wave measurement unit measures the surface pulse wave of the object based on a change in the intensity of the light reflected from the surface of the object.
