    摘要: A method of forming an electrophotographic coating which includes preparing a mixture which comprises finely divided photoconductive material dispersed in an organic resin binder. The resin, which exhibits an acid value of at least 3, or a hydroxyl value of at least 15, is heat-treated for a time and temperature enclosed within the area ABCDEFGH of the temperature-treating diagram shown in the accompanying drawing. Following this treatment, the mixture is dissolved in a volatile solvent for the binder resin, and the dispersion is coated onto a conductive backing to form a substantially uniform layer.

    摘要: A process for machining metal work comprising forming a marked-off image from an image-forming material on a surface of a metal work or on a recording layer provided on the surface of the metal work and subsequently machining the metal work by machine cutting and/or oil immersion electrospark machining on the basis of the marked-off image, and including applying a protective resin layer on the image-bearing surface of the metal work prior to any metal machining, the resin layer comprising a mixture of nitrocellulose and a methacrylic polymer in a weight ratio ranging from about 80:20 to 40:60 of the nitrocellulose to the methacrylic polymer and not hindering the viewing of the image, and the methacrylic polymer mainly comprising methyl methacrylate and having a glass transition temperature of higher than about 85.degree. C.

    摘要: Improved toner particles each comprising an intimate mixture of a photoconductive pigment and an insulating binder capable of transporting charge carriers when the charge carriers are injected therein from the pigment, the proportion of the total volume of the pigment in the toner particle being 2 to 30 volume percent of the toner particle and the insulating binder being substantially transparent to the light in the region of the spectrum to which the pigment is sensitive. The toner particle may have therein a core or cores of a material which is substantially transparent to the light in the spectral-sensitive region of the pigment. The toner particles have improved surface durability and can be used repeatedly.

    摘要: An electrophotographic print marking apparatus for printing markings on rolled steel plates while the steel plates are being fed in a heated condition. A part of an image transfer belt which is brought to a transfer section where the powder image carried by the belt is transferred to the steel plate is made movable up and down by means of a pair of lower rollers. The rollers are moved up and down to bring the part of the belt in the transfer section close the steel plates when the powder image is transferred to the steel plates and to separate the belt far apart from the steel plates when the powder image is not transferred. A tension roller is provided to absorb the change in tension of the transfer belt accompanying the up and down movement of the lower rollers.
