摘要: There is provided a polarizing film with a high dichroic ratio obtained by causing lithium ions and cesium ions to coexist at a specific ratio in a coating fluid containing a lyotropic liquid crystalline dye having an acidic group. It is presumed that the reason why the dichroic ratio becomes higher is that lyotropic liquid crystalline dyes become easier to be uniformly oriented as a result of an appropriate extension of intermolecular distance among the lyotropic liquid crystalline dyes by coupling lithium ions having a small radius and cesium ions having a large radius to an acidic group of each of the lyotropic liquid crystalline dyes in the coating fluid.

摘要: A battery separator (13) of the present invention includes a porous film (12) serving as a substrate and a crosslinked polymer layer (11) supported on the porous film (12). The crosslinked polymer layer (11) contains a crosslinked polymer and inorganic particles, and is non-porous. The crosslinked polymer is obtained by reacting a reactive polymer having a functional group in its molecule with a polyfunctional compound reactive with the functional group so as to crosslink at least a part of the reactive polymer. A lithium ion secondary battery of the present invention includes a positive electrode (14), a negative electrode (15), the battery separator (13) of the present invention disposed between the positive electrode (14) and the negative electrode (15), and a non-aqueous electrolyte solution. The battery separator (13) is disposed so that the porous film (12) faces the negative electrode (15) and the crosslinked polymer layer (11) faces the positive electrode (14).

摘要: A process for producing a microporous polymeric object to improve the degree of freedom for its various properties, compared to conventional processes, includes: mixing a block copolymer made of three or more kinds of segments with a polymer, wherein one or more of the segments are made of monomer units having a first functional group forming ionic and/or hydrogen bond, the segments constitute a co-continuous structure having mutually-independent and continuous regions due to a phase separation based on incompatibility between the segments, and the polymer has, at other than polymer chain terminals, a second functional group forming such bond with the first functional group, thereby allowing the segments to associate with the polymer at many points; forming a co-continuous structure including a region composed of the polymer and the segments due to the phase separation; and removing the polymer from the region by weakening the bond between the functional groups.

摘要: A process for producing a polymeric object having a microphase-separated structure that can improve the degree of freedom for the structure to be formed is provided. A block copolymer composed of two or more segments and having a first segment composed of a monomer unit having a first functional group capable of forming an ionic bond and/or a hydrogen bond and a second segment incompatible with the first segment, and a polymer having, at other than the terminals of its polymer chain, a second functional group capable of forming an ionic bond and/or a hydrogen bond with the first functional group are mixed. Then, allowing the first segment to be associated with the polymer at many points by an ionic bond and/or a hydrogen bond, the mixture of the copolymer and the polymer is microphase separated. As a result, a polymeric object is formed including a region including the first segment and the polymer that have been associated with each other, and a region including the second segment.

摘要: The present invention provides a composite separation membrane with improved separation performance, particularly with an increased permeation flux. The composite separation membrane of the present invention includes a porous support (2) and a separation functional layer (1) formed on this support (2). The separation functional layer (1) is a polyamide membrane having a “double-folded structure” including a first layer portion (11) with a plurality of projections (15a, (15b . . . ) and a second layer portion (12) that covers at least one or some (15c and 15d) of these projections. Some projections (15a and 15b) of the first layer portion (11) extend upward and branch to form the second layer portion (12). There is a vacant space (13) between the first layer portion (11) and the second layer portion (12).

摘要: A liquid separation membrane module includes a semipermeable membrane receiving a pressure of a feed liquid, and a channel material arranged so as to support the back side of the semipermeable membrane. The channel material is a tricot knitted fabric knitted by a tricot knitting machine with two reeds and has a ground stitch portion and a convex portion. The tricot knitted fabric includes a thermoplastic synthetic filament yarn with a core/sheath type conjugated fiber having a high melting point polymer as a core component and a low melting point polymer as a sheath component. Thermoplastic synthetic filament yarns for forming the ground stitch portion and the convex portion have a substantially same fineness, and the yarns in the tricot knitted fabric are bonded with one another by melt adhesion of the low melting point component to rigidity the entire knitted fabric.
