A bicycle generator or a shifting device has a base member, a rotation receiving member and a dynamo. The base member is configured to be mounted only in vicinity of a hub axle. The rotation receiving member is rotatably mounted on the base member and is rotated by a rotational part of a bicycle. The dynamo is coupled to the rotation receiving member to generate electrical energy in response to rotation of the rotation receiving member. In the case of the shifting device, a shifting unit is provided that includes an electric motor and an output member that engages a part of a bicycle hub transmission device.

There is provided a duplexed field controller. The duplexed field controller includes: first and second control units between which a control authority is switchable; a first application clock that is updated based on a reference clock so as to define a timing of an application operation of the first control unit; a second application clock that is updated based on the reference clock so as to define a timing of an application operation of the second control unit; and an update control unit that bypasses the first update of the second application clock after switching of the control authority, if the first application clock is ahead of the second application clock when the control authority is switched from the first control unit to the second control unit.

The field control device includes: a task executing unit configured to selectively and sequentially execute a control task relating to a field control and other tasks in a same control period; and a priority switching unit configured to switch a relative priority of the control task relative to the other tasks in the control period, wherein the priority is a priority of an execution sequence of tasks in the task executing unit. The priority switching unit is configured to: i) set the priority higher than a certain priority, before the control task is started; and ii) set the priority lower than the certain priority, after the control task is ended.

A bicycle electric power device includes a dynamo, an electrical device, a power source and a switch. The electrical device is electrically connected to the dynamo. The power source is electrically connected to the dynamo in parallel with the electrical device and configured to chargeably connect to the dynamo. The switch is connected in series with the power source and configured to controllably connect the power source to the dynamo with the dynamo producing no power of its own such that with the switch closed the dynamo is charged by the power source and with the switch opened the dynamo provides boosted voltage to the bicycle electrical device.
