    摘要: A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery having both high capacity and long-life is provided by solving the problem of the large irreversible capacity of a negative electrode active material. The non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery is produced by a method including the steps of: reacting lithium with a negative electrode active material by bringing a metal film that is composed mainly of lithium into contact with a surface of a negative electrode active material layer; and thereafter combining the negative electrode with a positive electrode to form an electrode assembly. The metal film composed mainly of lithium is preferably formed on a carrier that does not chemically react with lithium, and the metal film on the carrier is preferably brought into contact with the negative electrode active material layer while heating and applying a pressure thereto.

    摘要: The purpose of the present invention is to provide a negative electrode for non-aqueous electrolyte rechargeable batteries of which the capacity is high and of which the decrease of the discharging capacity through the cycles is low by improving the electron conductivity of the surfaces of the active material particle for the negative electrode. In order to achieve this purpose, an active material in the form of a composite particle comprising,a phase that can store a lithium ion and includes at least Sn and a phase that cannot store a lithium ion and an electronically conductive material coating part of or the entire surfaces of the above described particle, is used for the negative electrode in the present invention.

    摘要: A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery having an improved negative electrode is disclosed. The negative electrode comprises alloy particles having a composition represented by the formula: LixM1aM2  (1) wherein M1 represents at least one element selected from the element group m1 consisting of Ti, Zr, V, Sr, Ba, Y, La, Cr, Mo, W, Mn, Co, Ir, Ni, Cu and Fe, M2 represents at least one element selected from the element group m2 consisting of Mg, Ca, Al, In, Si, Sn, Pb, Sb and Bi, M1 and M2 represent different elements each other, and wherein 0≦x≦10, 0.1≦a≦10, with the proviso that 2≦a≦10 when M1 is composed only of Fe, and having at least two phases which are different in composition each other.
