摘要： Compounds of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are each C.sub.16-18 long-chain aliphatic acyl and are the same or different; and pharmacologically acceptable salts thereof are disclosed. These novel compounds are effective against 5-FU-resistant tumor cells, have low toxicity, and are not inactivated by nucleoside phosphorylase in vivo.

摘要： A compound of the formula ##STR1## wherein A is adenine-9-yl and X is halogen, Preferably iodine, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. It is a novel derivative of neplanocin A and has almost the same level of cytotoxic activity. However, it is not inactivated by the action of adenosine deaminase. It is produced by replacing a hydroxyl at position-6' in neplanocin A or 2', 3'-O-protected neplanocin A with halogen by use of a halogenating agent, and when hydroxyl at position-2' or -3' is protected, removing the protective group thereof.

摘要： An information processing apparatus having a resume function which can maintain security even when a plurality of users use a common information processing apparatus. A work state at a power-off time is preserved together with a work state name including a user's ID in a different area in a plurality of preservation areas for the resume operation function on a main memory for each user. When a power source is turned on again, data in the preservation area corresponding to the user's ID is used to reproduce the work state of the user at the power-off time. A work state preservation file on a file server apparatus in a network has a resume function which does not need battery back-up. When this information processing apparatus is used, a work state at a power-off time can be independently preserved and reproduced for each of users, thereby realizing a resume function that is excellent in terms of security and utility.

摘要： A facsimile server system which can be utilized similarly to a stand-alone FAX. A remote FAX includes a scanner, a printer and a FAX communication unit. A client delivers document data to a FAX server, and makes a request for FAX transmission/printing. The FAX server expands the document data requested to be transmitted, into image data, and it transfers the image data to the appropriate remote FAX and gives a command for the FAX transmission/printing. When instructed to perform FAX transmission directly by a user, the remote FAX accepts the image of a handwritten document, and it subsequently delivers the image data of the document to the FAX server and makes a request for the FAX transmission. Besides, when the remote FAX has been commanded to scan image data or has received image data as FAX reception, it delivers the scanned image data or the received image data to the FAX server. Then, the FAX server accumulates the image data and offers them to the client in accordance with a retrieval process.
