Abstract: Wireline plugs for use in a Y-tool. In some embodiments, the wireline plug can include an elongated body defining a bore therethrough. A first end of the elongated body can include an outer surface configured to serve as a fishing neck and a second end configured to connect to a downhole tool. The wireline plug can include an elongated seal defining a bore therethrough disposed within a portion of the bore defined by the elongated body. The elongated seal can be configured to provide an at least partial fluid seal between an inner surface of the bore defined by the elongated body and an outer surface of a wireline when disposed within the bore defined by the elongated seal. The elongated seal can be formed from a polymer, an elastomer, or a combination of a polymer and an elastomer.

Abstract: Packoff seals and processes for using same. In some examples, the packoff seal can include a first end cap and a second end cap, a first insert and a second insert, a first deformable element disposed between the first end cap and the first insert, a second deformable element disposed between the second insert and the second end cap, and a third deformable element disposed between the first insert and the second insert. The first end cap, the first deformable element, the first insert, the third deformable element, the second insert, the second deformable element, and the second end cap together can form a body having a bore extending therethrough. The first deformable element, the second deformable element, and the third deformable element can have a compressive strength that is less than a compressive strength of the first and second inserts.

Abstract: Embodiments presented provide for a sealed connector for use in high gas pressure applications. The sealed connector may provide for electrical signals and power to be transmitted along a cable to a downhole apparatus, such as those used in hydrocarbon recovery operations. The sealed connector includes a body having a first body portion and a second body portion, where the first body portion includes an interior cavity having a connection portion and a sealing surface, and the second body portion is comprised of an elastomer having a bore. The elastomer of the second body portion is bonded to the first body portion, and an insert is disposed within the body. A wire is configured to extend through the bore of the second body portion, the elastomer of the second body portion seals against the wire, and the wire is coupled to the insert.

Abstract: A reciprocating pump with chamber-charging mechanism is provided. In an example diaphragm pump, a discharge valve can be opened by the pressure of fluid leaving the pump and can also be opened by an intermittent mechanical linkage actuated by the reciprocating member powering the pump. The discharge valve is mechanically opened to allow pressure backflow into the pumping chamber, thereby charging compressible fluid mixtures and gases with an increase in pressure. The increased pressure enables the compressible fluids to open the discharge valve on the next compression stroke and exit the pump. In an implementation, the discharge valve is pushed open by the reciprocating power source in a configuration that seals the valve mechanism from well fluid. In another implementation, the discharge valve is pulled open to pre-charge the pumping chamber.

In some examples, the cable termination assembly can include a lower housing and a rope socket housing can be disposed at least partially within a lower housing bore defined by a lower housing inner surface. At least one rope socket retainer can be disposed at least partially within a rope socket bore defined by an inner surface of the rope socket housing. The rope socket housing and rope socket retainer can be configured to secure the rope socket housing to a first set of armor wires of a cable, extending at least partially through the rope socket bore, while leaving interstitial gaps between individual armor wires of the first set of armor wires. A filler can be disposed between the individual armor wires of the first set of armor wires that at least partially fills the interstitial gaps.
