Abstract: An automated computer-controlled sampling system and related methods for collecting, processing, and analyzing agricultural samples for various chemical properties such as plant available nutrients. The sampling system allows multiple samples to be processed and analyzed for different analytes or chemical properties in a simultaneous concurrent or semi-concurrent manner. Advantageously, the system can process soil samples in the “as collected” condition without drying or grinding. The system generally includes a sample preparation sub-system which receives soil samples collected by a probe collection sub-system and produces a slurry (i.e. mixture of soil, vegetation, and/or manure and water), and a chemical analysis sub-system which processes the prepared slurry samples for quantifying multiple analytes and/or chemical properties of the sample. The sample preparation and chemical analysis sub-systems can be used to analyze soil, vegetation, and/or manure samples.

Abstract: A pumping cassette including a housing having at least two inlet fluid lines and at least two outlet fluid lines. At least one balancing pod within the housing and in fluid connection with the fluid paths. The balancing pod balances the flow of a first fluid and the flow of a second fluid such that the volume of the first fluid equals the volume of the second fluid. The balancing pod also includes a membrane that forms two balancing chambers. Also included in the cassette is at least two reciprocating pressure displacement membrane pumps. The pumps are within the housing and they pump the fluid from a fluid inlet to a fluid outlet line and pump the second fluid from a fluid inlet to a fluid outlet.

Abstract: A medical fluid delivery machine including: a medical fluid pump including a pneumatically actuated pump chamber and first and second pneumatically actuated medical fluid valve chambers located respectively upstream and downstream of the pneumatically actuated pump chamber; a vacuum pump for creating negative pressure; and an accumulator storing the negative pressure for operation with at least one of the pneumatically actuated pump chamber, the first pneumatically actuated medical fluid valve chamber or the second pneumatically actuated medical fluid valve chamber, the accumulator holding an elastic bladder that inflates under negative pressure from the vacuum pump applied to an outside of the elastic bladder, creating additional negative pressure that increases the amount of negative pressure that the accumulator can provide.

Abstract: Linear peristaltic pumps for use with fluidic cartridges. An apparatus includes a reagent cartridge configured to be received within a cartridge receptacle of a system. The reagent cartridge includes a reagent reservoir and a body including a surface that forms depressions. Each depression has a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet and is fluidly coupled to at least one other depression. The reagent cartridge also includes a deformable material coupled to the surface of the body and includes portions. Each portion covers one of the depressions to define chambers. The portions of the deformable material are movable relative to the depressions between a first position outside of a dimensional envelope of the body and a second position within the dimensional envelope of the body.

The cassette integrated system includes a mixing cassette, a balancing cassette, a middle cassette fluidly connected to the mixing cassette and the balancing cassette and at least one pod. Abstract: A displacement sensing device is configured for a peritoneal dialysis system. The peritoneal dialysis system includes a housing and a syringe. The syringe is disposed on the housing and has a push rod. The displacement sensing device includes a guide rod, a probing module, and a resistance scale. The guide rod is coupled to the push rod, and the probing module is disposed in the housing and is fixed at the guide rod. The resistance scale is disposed at a side of the probing module. The probing module is configured to contact the resistance scale to obtain a resistance value of the resistance scale and determine a displacement magnitude of the push rod. In addition, a peritoneal dialysis system is also mentioned.

Abstract: A subsea reservoir pressure maintenance system, including: a subsea chemical storage unit; a seawater intake and treatment system that takes in seawater and chemically treats the seawater with a chemical stored in the subsea storage unit, wherein a first subsea seal-less pump transfers the chemical from the subsea chemical storage unit to the seawater intake and treatment system; a second seal-less subsea pump that boosts pressure of the chemically treated seawater received from the seawater intake and treatment system; and a water injection manifold that receives the chemically treated seawater at the boosted pressure and injects the chemically treated seawater into a seabed.
