A hybrid drive type vehicle having a permanent magnet type synchronous motor can provide high torque characteristics in low revolution speed range of the engine and high power generation characteristics at high revolution speed range of the engine. The hybrid drive type vehicle includes an electric rotary machine being formed with a stator and a rotor. A field magnet of the rotor include a first field magnet and a second field magnet. The first and second field magnets are opposing with a magnetic pole of the stator and having a mechanism for varying a phase of a magnetic pole resulting from combination of the first and second field magnets relative to the magnetic pole of the first field magnet depending upon direction of a torque of the rotor.

[Object]Motorization of a running gear of a construction machine traveling on wheels is realized without enormous increases in vehicle-body dimensions and costs.[Solution Means]A wheeled excavator 41 includes travel wheels 10, 11 installed in a vehicle body, an engine 3, a running motor-generator 15, an inverter 21 and a battery 22 which are electrically connected to the motor-generator 15, a hydraulic pump 4 driven by the engine, and a power transmission mechanism which transmits power among the engine 3, the wheels 10, 11, the running motor-generator 15, and the hydraulic pump 4. A clutch 23 which connects and disconnects the power transmission between the engine 3 and the wheels 10, 11 is provided in the power transmission mechanism. In a required area on the vehicle body, a clutch switching means is mounted for switching the clutch 23 to a disengaged state during a level road run and to an engaged state during a downhill run.

An electrically operated brake device in which braking force differences between electrically operated brakes are reduced to prevent unstable vehicle traveling during braking. Motors 13 of electrically operated brakes are returned to standard positions during the stop of a vehicle and the motor 13 of each of the brakes is driven for a predetermined amount, pressing a brake pad 17 against a disc rotor 18 to produce a braking force. An electric current value of each motor 13 in the above operation is measured and differences between the values are calculated. Electric current of each motor is increased or decreased so that there is no current difference between the motors 13. Based on a drive amount of each motor in this operation, standard positions of the motors are determined and updated. Repeating the above operations reduces braking force differences between the brakes.

A pharmaceutical composition containing an extract from inflammatory tissue inoculated with vaccinia virus may be used to suppress the death of cells caused by endotoxin, and suppress excessive production of nitrogen monoxide induced by endotoxin. The extract may also be used to relieve hypotension induced by endotoxin. In sepsis and other serious bacterial infectious diseases, endotoxin (an intracellular toxin) is produced and a shock symptom is induced by its action. The extract, having an excellent inhibitory action toward endotoxin-induced toxicity, is quite useful for the treatment or the prevention of endotoxin-induced shock symptoms, sepsis and various symptoms accompanied thereby. In addition, the extract has an inhibitory action towards abnormal nitrogen monoxide production during the diseased state and, therefore, it is also useful as a therapeutic and preventive agent for diseases wherein an excessive nitrogen monoxide production occurs, such as acute hypotension.
