摘要: A display apparatus having a light detection function with high accuracy is to be provide. The display apparatus includes a light-receiving device, a first light-emitting device, and an insulating layer. The light-receiving device includes a first electrode, a light-receiving layer, and a common electrode. The first light-emitting device includes a second electrode, a first EL layer, and the common electrode. The light-receiving layer includes a first functional layer, a second functional layer, and an active layer provided therebetween. The first functional layer contains a first substance having a hole-transport property. The second functional layer contains a second substance having an electron-transport property. An end portion of the active layer, an end portion of the first functional layer, and an end portion of the second functional layer are aligned or substantially aligned with one another. The first EL layer includes a third functional layer, a fourth functional layer, and a first light-emitting layer provided therebetween. The third functional layer contains a third substance having a hole-transport property. The fourth functional layer contains a fourth substance having an electron-transport property. The insulating layer includes regions in contact with a side surface of the light-receiving layer and a side surface of the first EL layer.

摘要: To provide a method of manufacturing an optical film formed on a plastic substrate. There is provided a method of manufacturing an optical film including the steps of laminating a separation layer and an optical filter on a first substrate, separating the optical filter from the first substrate, attaching the optical filter to a second substrate. Since the optical film manufactured according to the invention has flexibility, it can he provided on a portion or a display device having a curved surface. Further, the optical film is not processed at high temperatures, and hence, an optical film having high yield with high reliability can be formed. Furthermore, an optical film having an excellent impact resistance property can be formed.

A liquid crystal element overlaps with a light-emitting element. The light-emitting element, a transistor, and the like overlapping with the liquid crystal element transmit visible light. When the liquid crystal element blocks external light, an image is displayed with the light-emitting element. When the liquid crystal element transmits external light, an image displayed with the light-emitting element is superimposed on a transmission image through the liquid crystal element.

The display device includes a light guide plate, a display panel, and an intermediate layer, and the light guide plate includes a first surface and a second surface. The display panel faces the second surface, the display panel is in contact with the intermediate layer, and the display panel has a function of scattering the distributed light. The intermediate layer includes a region positioned between the second surface and the display panel, and the intermediate layer has a second refractive index N2 in a region in contact with the second surface. The second refractive index N2 is smaller than the first refractive index N1.

摘要: To provide a highly reliable liquid crystal display device including flexible substrates and a crystalline oxide semiconductor film for a backplane. The device includes a flexible first substrate, a flexible second substrate facing the first substrate, and a liquid crystal layer sealed between the substrates with a sealing member. The first substrate is provided with a layer including a transistor, an organic resin film over the transistor, a pixel electrode and a common electrode over the organic resin film, which partly overlap with each other with an insulating film provided therebetween, and an alignment film thereover. The transistor includes a crystalline oxide semiconductor film as a semiconductor layer where a channel is formed. Drying treatment is performed on the layer before the liquid crystal layer is sealed between the substrates, and steps from the drying treatment to sealing of the liquid crystal layer are performed without exposure to the air.
