Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a composition for molecular imaging comprising a trans-splicing ribozyme coupled with an imaging reporter gene. The trans-splicing ribozyme targets a specific gene associated with a disease. Also disclosed is a molecular imaging method using the composition.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for fabricating a semiconductor device. In more detail of the aforementioned method, a first mask layer covering a cell region is formed on an insulation layer in the cell region. Meanwhile, a second mask layer is formed in a peripheral circuit region with a predetermined distance from the first mask layer. The insulation layer is then etched with use of the first and the second mask layers as an etch mask to form a spacer at both sidewalls of each gate line pattern in the peripheral region and simultaneously form a guard beneath the second mask layer. The first and the second mask layers are removed thereafter. Next, a third mask layer opening the cell region but covering the whole regions including a guard region in the peripheral circuit region is formed. A wet etching process is performed to the insulation layer remaining in the cell region by using the third mask layer as an etch mask.

Abstract:
Disclosed herein are a recombinant adenovirus comprising tissue-specific promoters and trans-splicing ribozymes targeting tumor-specific genes, and uses thereof. More specifically, disclosed herein are a recombinant adenovirus comprising (1) a tissue-specific promoter, (2) a trans-splicing ribozyme acting on tumor-specific genes operably linked to the promoter, and (3) a therapeutic or reporter gene linked to 3′ exon of the ribozyme, an anticancer pharmaceutical composition comprising the same, and a composition for cancer diagnosis comprising the same. The recombinant adenovirus exhibits high specificity and significantly improved therapeutic efficacy to gene targeted tissues. Accordingly, the recombinant adenovirus is useful as a gene delivery vector for anticancer agents or cancer diagnostics.
Abstract:
Provided is an apparatus for sharing specific functions in a portable terminal capable of selectively using one of a CDMA communication system and a JCDMA communication system. The portable terminal includes a first switch unit and a second switch unit. The first switch unit selectively separates one of a CDMA RX signal and a JCDMA RX signal from a signal received through an antenna and outputs the separated signal to a low-noise amplifier. The second switch unit separates a frequency band of the selected communication system from an output signal of the LNA to select a specific-band signal and outputs the specific-band signal to a mixer.
Abstract:
An apparatus for a single three-band intenna is provided. The apparatus includes a diplexer being connected to both a first-frequency communication module and a second-frequency communication module, and separating a first-frequency signal and a second-frequency signal from each other so that the two frequency signals share a single communication route; and a switch unit for performing a switching operation so as to connect a communication route either between the intenna and the diplexer, or between the intenna and a third-frequency communication module. The apparatus may include a controller for generating a control signal in order to control the switching operation of the switch unit, wherein the control signal is used to establish a first mode for transmitting/receiving the first-frequency signal or the second-frequency signal, or to establish a second mode for receiving a third-frequency signal.
Abstract:
Provided are RNA aptamer specifically binding to cancer metastasis-inducing domain of CEA (Carcinoembryonic antigen), a composition for prevention and/or inhibition and/or diagnosis of cancer metastasis containing the same as an active ingredient, and a method of prevention and/or inhibition and/or diagnosis of cancer metastasis using the same.
Abstract:
Provided are a method and an apparatus for transmitting a packet in a wireless local area network (LAN), the method including determining whether a packet, which does not expire during the current transmission opportunity (TXOP) but will expire before a next TXOP is secured, exists or not based on a time-to-live (TTL) of the packet; if it is determined that the packet does not expire during an expansion of the current TXOP, expanding the current TXOP; and transmitting the packet to a receiving station.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a nuclease-resistant RNA aptamer for inhibiting the replication of HCV replicon. This aptamer is capable of binding specifically to HCV NS5B and inhibiting the proliferation of the HCV replicon, and includes at least one sequence selected from a group consisting of SEQ ID NOS. 1 to 4, in which a fluoro group is substituted for 2′-hydroxy of both U (uracil) and C (cytosine) bases, and SEQ ID NO. 17, in which the fluoro group is substituted for the 2′-hydroxy of both the U (uracil) and the C (cytosine) bases, and which is tagged with a cholesteryl group at a 5′ end and with idT at a 3′ end. The RNA aptamer is useful in the diagnosis and treatment of HCV infection.
