The image display device has: an image display medium where charged particle groups are sealed between a pair of substrates at least one of which has translucency and which are opposed to each other with a space therebetween, and display density is changed by transfer of the charged particle groups between the pair of substrates according to an electric field formed by a voltage applied between the substrates; a temperature measuring unit that measures a temperature of the image display medium; a voltage applying unit that applies, between the substrates, a driving voltage according to the temperature of the image display medium measured by the temperature measuring unit, based on a predetermined voltage applying condition corresponding to the temperature of the image display medium, in order to display an image with predetermined display density on the image display medium.

    摘要: An image display device and image display method are provided. The device and method can prevent changes in image density and contrast, which are caused by repeated displaying over long periods of time and changes in environment, by employing accurate electric current detection, due to the following operations. Voltage measurement is initiated with a detection circuit. Next, the application of drive voltage is initiated with a drive power source. An electric current value is calculated from the measured voltage value and the electric current value is temporarily stored. The electric current values are stored every set amount of time and the storage thereof accumulates. Application of the drive voltage is terminated and the integral value of the electric current is calculated in accordance with formulas.

    摘要: An image display device is structured with an image display medium, a voltage applying unit and a control unit. The image display medium has black particles and white particles enclosed in a space between a transparent front substrate and a rear substrate. The front substrate is structured with a lamination having a substrate, an electrode and a surface coat layer. The rear substrate is structured with a lamination having a substrate, an electrode and a surface coat layer. The electrode on the front substrate is connected to the voltage applying unit while the voltage applying unit is connected to the control unit. The control unit controls the voltage applying unit to apply to the electrodes of the substrates an alternating voltage at a frequency of from 20 Hz to 20 kHz.

    摘要: An oil filter unit comprising a housing (4) and a filter element (14) accommodated therein is fitted to an engine (1) via a bracket (3) having a cylindrical holder (5). The housing (4) is secured to the holder (5) by screwing a male screw (19) on its outer circumference to a female screw (17) formed in the inner circumference of the holder (5). A first cut-out (24) is formed across the female screw (17) and a second cut-out (23) is formed across the male screw (19). When these cut-outs (24, 23) meet together, they form a drain passage which drains the oil in the housing (4) to outside. With this construction, the oil in the housing is drained via a predetermined path and prevented from scattering around, when the filter unit is removed from the engine (1).
