摘要: A thermal transfer sheet of the present invention has a heat resistant layer disposed on a back surface thereof and a slip layer disposed on the heat resistant layer. The heat resistant layer contains a binder resin having a molecular structure, one end portion of which is an end group selected from the group consisting of hydroxyl, amino, carboxyl and mercapto. The slip layer contains silylisocyanate represented by the following formula (1): R.sub.n --Si--(N C O).sub.4-n in the formula (1), R denotes alkyl, aryl or vinyl; and "n" denotes an integer of 0 to 3!. The slip layer is hardened by reacting an isocyanate group of the silylisocyanate contained therein with the end group of the binder resin contained in the heat resistant layer.

摘要: A base film for a thermal transfer ribbon which is a biaxially oriented polyester film comprising polyethylene-2,6-naphthalene dicarboxylate as a main constitutional element, wherein in a temperature-dimensional change curve under load in a longitudinal direction of the film, the dimensional change from the original length of the film at temperatures of up to 200° C. is 1.0% or less and the dimensional change from the original length of the film at temperatures of up to 230° C. is 3.0% or less. This film may have a coating layer of at least one water-soluble or water-dispersible resin selected from the group consisting of an urethane resin, polyester resin, acrylic resin and vinyl resin-modified polyester resin, on one side thereof. The base film gives a thermal transfer ribbon which has excellent adhesion to a sublimation-type ink layer and excellent printing performance without blurred ink at the time of high-speed printing and without wrinkles formed by friction with a head.

摘要: A method of preparation of an absorbent composite in which an aqueous solution containing a water-soluble radical polymerization initiator and a water-soluble ethylenically unsaturated monomer which can be converted into an absorbent polymer by polymerization is applied to a substrate, and the monomer is polymerized while the substrate to which the aqueous solution is applied is, on both the sides, held in contact with polymerization-inert surfaces facing each other. A continuous manufacturing method includes the sequential steps of continuously passing a substrate through (1) a region applying to the substrate an aqueous solution containing a water-soluble radical polymerization initiator and a water-soluble ethylenically unsaturated monomer which can be converted into an absorbent polymer by polymerization, and (2) a region of polymerizing the monomer while maintaining the substrate, on both the sides, in contact with polymerization-inert surfaces facing each other.
