摘要: An electric stapler has a stapling mechanism which is connected to a power source through a switch and staples a sheet stack inserted into a throat. An actuator is adapted to abut against an edge of a sheet stack at a plurality of positions along the edge of the sheet stack and to be moved by the sheet stack in response to insertion thereof to an operative position where it operates the switch to actuate the stapling mechanism. A sub-actuator is positioned in front of the actuator and is movable between an erected position where it stands into the sheet stack insertion passage to abut against a sheet stack when the sheet stack is inserted into the throat and a horizontal position where it is retracted from the sheet stack insertion passage not to abut against a sheet stack. The sub-actuator is adapted to abut against a pair of adjacent edges of a sheet stack forming a corner of the sheet stack when it is in the erected position and is movable to drive the actuator to the operative position pushed by the sheet stack as the sheet stack is further inserted into the throat.

摘要: A sheet sorter with a stapler includes a plurality of bins arranged in a vertical direction each of which receives a plurality of sheets discharged from an and forms thereon a stack of sheets. An indexer receives the sheets from the image recording apparatus and distributes the sheets to the respective bins through the sheet inlet ends thereof. A stapler is movable up and down along the array of the sheet inlet ends of the bins and in a direction of width of the sheets to staple the stack of sheets on each bin which has been ejected beyond the sheet inlet end of the bin by a predetermined length. A single reciprocal pusher member is actuated after completion of stapling by the stapler and pushes the stapled stack of sheets back to the bin. A centering mechanism moves the reciprocal pusher member to a position substantially opposed to the middle of the trailing edge of the stack of sheets before the reciprocal pusher member is actuated.

A culture method of culturing cells adhered onto an electrode layer, the method including: a first step of adhering the cells onto the electrode layer and culturing the cells thereon, the electrode layer being coated with an oligopeptide including: a terminal amino acid; a cell adhesive sequence; and an alternating sequence to be bound to the one end side of the cell-adhesive sequence, the alternating sequence including a plurality of acidic amino acids and a plurality of basic amino acids, being alternately bound to each other one by one; and a second step of applying, to the electrode layer having the cells adhered thereonto, an electrical potential inducing reductive desorption of the oligopeptide, to thereby detach the cells from the electrode layer.

摘要: A stapler apparatus of the type using continuous belt-formed staples 200 includes a staple feed claw 25 for advancing the staples 200 sequentially to a stapling position 103, and a drive means 50 for driving the staples 200 drawn to the stapling position 103. A clincher means 40 bends the ends of the staples 200 driven into the sheets and pivots a staple feed pawl 25 interlocked to the staple bending operation of the clincher means 40 for sequentially feeding the staples 200 to the stapling position 103. This construction lightens the load on the drive means to staple sheet stacks, facilitates smooth driving operation of the drive means, and reduces the occurrences of trouble.

摘要: A stapler is provided that does not waste any staples when a staple cartridge or sheet of staples is replaced. The stapler includes a sheet of staples, a mounting unit equipped with a cartridge for housing the sheet of staples and a driver mechanism that draws out the sheet of staples from the cartridge. The mounting unit has a reverse motion stopping mechanism that prevents the sheet of staples from moving back into the cartridge. The reverse motion stopping mechanism makes contact with the sheet of staples when the mounting unit is installed and the reverse motion stopping mechanism releases contact with the sheet of staples when the mounting unit is removed.
