    摘要: An image-forming machine includes an image-bearing member having a photosensitive material on its surface, a latent electrostatic image-forming device for forming a latent electrostatic image corresponding to image information on the photosensitive material, a developing device for developing the latent electrostatic image, a transfer device for transferring the toner image from the photosensitive material to a sheet material, a conveying mechanism for conveying the sheet material through a transfer zone, and a receiving section for receiving the sheet material conveyed through the transfer zone. An assembly provides an improved cooperation of an optical device of the image-forming device, a sheet receiving section and the developing device. A further assembly maintains a process unit having the image-bearing member and an optical unit having the optical device in a predetermined positional relationship. Another assembly facilitates mounting and detachment of the image-bearing member on and from a process unit frame.

    摘要: A variable magnification electrostatic copying apparatus includes a stationary transparent plate for placing thereon a document to be copied, an optical system including a first reflecting mirror assembly adapted to be moved reciprocally along the transparent plate, a second reflecting mirror assembly adapted to be moved reciprocally at a speed equal to one-half of the moving speed of the first reflecting mirror assembly and a lens assembly to be held at any one of a plurality of positions corresponding to a plurality of projecting ratios, and a projecting ratio changing device for moving the lens assembly and the second reflecting mirror assembly so as to change the projecting ratio of the optical system. The projecting ratio changing device includes a drive source in the form of a stepping motor, a control for controlling the operation of the drive source, a setting member for moving the second reflecting mirror assembly, a first power transmission system interposed between the drive source and the setting member and a second power transmission system interposed between the drive source and the lens assembly. The second reflecting mirror assembly is moved through the first power transmission system and the setting member, and the lens assembly is moved through the second power transmission system. An exposure correcting device includes plural plates movable between non-operating positions to respective operating positions controlling the area of exposure. The control includes high and low speed rotating plates and optical detectors for detecting positions thereof and for controlling the stepping motor.

    摘要: A sheet feeding system for an image-forming machine includes a main body having a conveying passage therethrough for guiding sheet materials and a hand insertion feed table pivotally attached to the main body for movement between a feed position in which it can be used to feed sheet materials into the conveying passage and a storage position. The sheet feeding system also includes a separate feed unit which, when the table is in its storage position, can be aligned with the main body so that sheet materials can be fed therefrom into the conveying passage. The conveying passage guides sheet materials to either a receiving section, a sorter or back into the introduction opening of the conveying passage so as to form overlapping images. An auxiliary receiving member is pivotally mounted in the receiving section for movement between a first position in which it acts to guide sheet materials from the conveying passage into the receiving section and a second potion in which it acts to guide sheet materials either to the sorter or back into the introduction opening of the conveying passage. An upper cover member is also pivoted to the main body and acts as both a cover and a guide member.

    摘要: A cleaning device for use on a transfer type electrostatic copying apparatus includes a magnetic brush cleaning device for cleaning off a magnetizable toner remaining on a photosensitive material after a transfer operation. A brush roller is disposed between the magnetic brush cleaning device and a transfer zone. A brush is arranged on a peripheral surface of a cylindrical sleeve of light transmitting material and is driven for rotation in contact with the photosensitive material. A charge eraser lamp is secured within the cylindrical sleeve. The charge on the photosensitive material or photoreceptor is almost completely erased, and consequently, the cleaning efficiency is markedly improved owing to the facilitated removal of the developing material by the magnetic brush.
