摘要： A liquid crystal display element for performing a display by a VA mode includes a first substrate including a first electrode, a liquid crystal layer including a liquid crystal molecule exhibiting a negative dielectric anisotropy, and a second substrate facing the first substrate with the liquid crystal layer in between, and including a second electrode facing the first electrode. Only the first electrode, or both of the first electrode and the second electrode are provided with a structure generating a distortion in an electric field, and the liquid crystal molecule located on the second substrate side has a pre-tilt angle larger than that of the liquid crystal molecule located on the first substrate side.

摘要： The invention provides a disc changer including a plurality of trays which can be moved respectively in a horizontal direction, a tray driving gear unit capable of shuttling the trays between a standby position and a disc exchange position, a gear driving mechanism for driving the tray driving gear unit, a tray triggering unit capable of locking/unlocking the trays in the standby position, pushing all trays to engage with the tray driving gear unit after unlocking the trays, and driving the trays toward the disc exchange position, wherein the tray driving gear unit can be used for checking the discs by driving all trays to protrude outward from the mechanical chassis to the disc exchange position, and can drive the trays individually from the disc exchange position to the standby position from top to bottom, thereby each disc can be checked until its tray is closed.

In a connector for connecting a first connecting cable connected to one end of a socket and a second connecting cable connected to one end of a plug, through engagement between the socket and the plug, the socket includes a cutout portion formed by cutting away at least one portion from one opening of a cylinder along the peripheral direction thereof, the cutout portion having a V-shape at its deepest portion, a first guiding portion projecting from at least one portion of the opening along the peripheral direction, the first guiding portion having a substantial V-shape at its leading end, and a retaining portion to be retained to a lateral face of the cylinder at the time of engagement with the plug, thus retaining this engagement. The plug includes a second guiding portion engageable into the cutout portion and having a substantial V-shape at its leading end and a pawl portion to be retained to the retaining portion at the time of the engagement with the socket.

摘要： A mobile television receiver includes a TV tuner demodulating an incoming TV signal into a first video signal. A first horizontal sync signal is separated from the first video signal. Detection is made as to a quality of an image represented by the first video signal. A second horizontal sync signal is generated. Detection is made as to a difference between a phase of the first horizontal sync signal and a phase of the second horizontal sync signal. The phase of the second horizontal sync signal is controlled in response to the detected phase difference between the first horizontal sync signal and the second horizontal sync signal so that the second horizontal sync signal will be locked in phase and frequency to the first horizontal sync signal. A memory unit stores the first video signal in response to a memory control signal, and outputs the stored first video signal as a second video signal. The memory control signal is generated in response to the detected image quality. The second video signal is displayed in response to the second horizontal sync signal.
