摘要: Either a single copy or a plurality of copies of an original document may be made. Making a single copy or the last copy of a plurality of copies comprises, during a first revolution of a photoconductive drum, electrostatically charging the drum, radiating a light image of the document onto the drum to form an electrostatic image, developing the electrostatic image using a magnetic brush to form a toner image, transferring the toner image to a copy sheet, electrostatically discharging the drum and uniformly radiating the drum with light to further discharge the same. During a second revolution of the drum the drum is cleaned with the same magnetic brush to remove residual toner, and again electrostatically discharged and uniformly radiated. During a third revolution of the drum the magnetic brush is again used for cleaning. For making all but the last of a plurality of copies, the drum is charged, imaged, transferred and electrostatically discharged during a first revolution thereof and cleaned with the magnetic bruch during a second revolution. Whether the process is used to make one or more copies, the same portion of the drum is always used. Subsequently, the drum rotation is indexed so that the next process will use a different portion of the drum.

摘要: The apparatus is for heat-fixing a toner image onto a support sheet in which the fixing of toner image is effected through both infrared radiation and direct contact with a heated surface of fixing roller in succession. An endless belt, having a transparency for infrared and trained over a pair of rollers, is disposed within a heat insulating casing, an upper run of the belt defining a path of movement of a toner image bearing support sheet to be fixed. An infrared radiator is disposed beneath the upper run of belt while a reflecting plate is disposed at the opposite side of the belt from the radiator with respect to the path. A fixing roller is disposed downstream of the radiator along the path for completing the fixing.

摘要: A method and an apparatus for controlling the toner concentration of a dry developer, including a magnetic carrier and a non-magnetic toner, used in a magnetic brush developing system. The system includes an inherent magnetic means and an inheret circulation path through a portion of which a steady stream of the developer is established during its operation. A device such as a Hall element is set at a position near the steady stream portion of the developer and in the atmosphere for detecting the magnitude of a leakage magnetic flux from the portion which is emanated from the magnetic means, to determine the value of toner concentration of the developer in the system through analyzing. Thereupon, a supply of toner to the system is automatically controlled based on the determined value.

摘要: An optical system focusses a light image of a linear portion of an original document onto a rotating photoconductive drum. The optical system scans the document so as to progressively form an electrostatic image on the drum. A scanning linear photosensor array is disposed such that the light image is incident thereon. Maximum and minimum output levels of the array are sensed, and the illumination intensity of the document and a developing bias voltage are controlled as functions thereof.

摘要: An elastic wave receiving apparatus includes: a probe that receives an elastic wave generated from a subject; a plate-like compression plate that supports the subject and whose surface is scanned by the probe; a motor for driving the probe; a controller that supplies a drive signal to the motor so that the probe moves to a predetermined target position on the compression plate; and a load estimating unit that preliminarily acquires and stores a physical value corresponding to a load generated at the time of scanning the compression plate by the probe. The controller corrects the drive signal so that the probe moves to the target position regardless of the load by using the physical value stored in the load estimating unit.

摘要: A measuring apparatus includes: laser sources; and a control unit for outputting an excitation start signal that instructs the laser light sources to start excitation, and outputting an oscillation start signal to instruct the laser light sources to start oscillation after a predetermined time has elapsed from the output of the excitation start signal, so as to generate pulsed light from the laser light sources. The laser sources include a first laser source and a second laser source of which preparation time from the start of the excitation to the generation of the pulsed light is longer than that of the first laser source. The control unit sets timing to output the excitation start signal to the first laser source to follow timing to output the excitation start signal to the second laser source according to a difference of the preparation time between the first and second laser sources.
