摘要： An absorbent article having a topsheet 2, a backsheet 3, and an absorbent member 4 interposed between the topsheet 2 and the backsheet 3 is disclosed. The absorbent member 4 has a number of compressed parts 7 which are discrete from one another and concave on the backsheet facing side and/or the topsheet facing side. The compressed part is configured to increase in thickness on absorbing liquid. The comperssed part is made up of a thinnest portion 8 and a sloping portion 9. The sloping portion a gradually changes in thickness to connect to the thinnest portion 8.

摘要： An absorbent article 1 has an extensible absorbent member 4 and is extensible as a whole. The absorbent member 4 has three-dimensionally dispersed therein a large number of small absorbent clusters 10a or 10b containing a superabsorbent polymer 11 and fibers 12, 13, 14. The small clusters 10a or 10b are dispersively arranged in a web containing crimped fibers. The small clusters include those composed of a superabsorbent polymer particle 11 and a large number of fibers 12 adhered to the particle 11 and those composed of a helically crimped fiber 13, a superabsorbent polymer particle 11, and fibers 14, the polymer particle 11 and the fibers 14 being taken into the helix of the crimped fiber 13.

摘要： An absorbent sheet 10 of the invention is a thin sheet having a first surface 10A and a second surface 10B and containing a fibrous material 11 and superabsorbent polymer particles 12. The polymer particles 12 are dispersed in the thickness direction of the absorbent sheet 10 in a state of being held by the fibrous material 11. When the portion in the thickness direction of the absorbent sheet 10 where the polymer particles 12 are dispersed is divided into regions by at least one plane perpendicular to the thickness direction of the sheet 10, the average particle size of the superabsorbent polymer particles 12 dispersed in each region decreases from the region that is the nearest to the first surface 10A to the region that is the nearest to the second surface 10B of the absorbent sheet.
