Abstract:
The preparation of a 2-halogeno-3-sulphonyl acrylonitrile from a 2,2-dihalogeno-3-sulphonyl propionitrile and water and the use of the product as a microbicidal agent are disclosed.
Abstract:
A method of combating bacteria comprising applying to the bacteria, or to a habitat thereof, an acylhalogenomethyl thiocyanate of the formula ##STR1## in which R is alkyl with up to 6 carbon atoms, thienyl, phenyl, naphthyl, or phenyl substituted by halogen, hydroxy, alkyl with 1 to 4 carbon atoms, alkoxy with up to 4 carbon atoms, nitro or phenyl,X is halogen, andY is halogen or hydrogen.
Abstract:
An aryl-thiocarboxylic acid thiocyanomethyl ester of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 represents an optionally substituted aryl radical; a process for preparing the same, a pesticidal composition comprising such aryl-thiocarboxylic acid thiocyanomethyl ester and the use of such aryl-thiocarboxylic acid thiocyanomethyl ester as a pesticide especially for combatting microbes and molluscs. The novel esters are particularly effective agents for protecting industrial materials and living plants.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a new process for the preparation of strongly acid cation exchangers loaded with catalytically active metals by loading the cation exchangers with a solution of a salt of the catalytically active metal and reducing the cation exchangers loaded with metal ions, according to which the loading of the cation exchangers is carried out at temperatures from 50.degree. to 120.degree. C. and formic acid is used as the reducing agent; the invention also relates to the catalyst resins which can be obtained by the process.
Abstract:
Acid halides and anhydrides of acids of the formula ##STR1## with the substituent definitions given in the description are obtained by reacting the corresponding acids with organic or inorganic acid halides or acid anhydrides. The new compounds are intermediate products for the preparation of new reactive dyestuffs.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an improved process for the continuous preparation of polyisocyanates with a biuret structure comprising the steps of continuously reacting excess amounts of organic diisocyanates having exclusively aliphatically and/or cycloaliphatically bound isocyanate groups with organic diamines having exclusively aliphatically and/or cycloaliphatically bound primary amino groups at temperatures above 170° C. and adding acid before or during the reaction.
Abstract:
The new halogenated sulphides of the formula ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 to R.sup.8 are identical or different and denote hydrogen or halogen, at least one of the radicals R.sup.1 to R.sup.8 representing halogen, and whereinR.sup.1 and R.sup.2, and/or R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 can optionally form an olefinic bond, andA and B are identical or different and denote nitrile, carboxyl, carboxylate or carboxamide, can be prepared by halogenation of bis-(cyanoethyl) sulphide, or by splitting off hydrogen halide from a halogenated bis-(cyanoethyl) sulphide, or by reacting 3-halogeno-acrylonitriles with sulphides. The new compounds can be active compounds in microbicidal agents.
Abstract:
