In a power receiving system, a network transformer, a protector breaker and a current detector are connected between the load side of each of a plurality of network lines and a network bus, a breaker is connected to the primary side of the network transformer, the current detector being operative to detect an accident current on the secondary side of the network transformer, and relays or an operation controller is provided which is responsive to the detection signal to open the breaker and protector breaker to switch off accident currents on the primary and secondary sides of the network transformer, whereby the protective range is so expanded as to cover a line section between the network transformer and the protector breaker and the scale of the overall power receiving system is reduced.

A coil electrode portion 14 is formed by hollowing out the interior of a highly conductive metal area 12 composed only of highly conductive metal and by forming slits 15 to 17 thereon. A rod 18 is hard-brazed on the rear surface of the coil electrode portion 14. With this electrode, it is possible to reduce the number of parts, and to omit the brazing portion between the arc electrode portion 13 and the coil electrode portion 14 for lowering the electric resistance and thereby the calorific value.

The magnetic flux receiving unit rotates the movable electrode shaft. The magnetic flux generating unit, located outside the vacuum casing, rotates the magnetic flux receiving unit by magnetic attraction. A movable electrode 7 is an electrode that is formed by arranging a plurality of flat electrode members 8 in layers at a certain distance at a movable electrode shaft 9 in the vacuum casing 1, and by rotation of the movable electrode shaft 9, the each electrode member 8 of the movable electrode 7 is inserted into and extracted from a gap between the electrode members 5 of the fixed electrode 4 and alternately overlaps the electrode member 5 of the fixed electrode 4 with the each electrode member 8 of the movable electrode 7 in noncontact with the electrode members 5 of the fixed electrode 4. A bellows, of which one end portion is fixed to a movable lever passing through a vessel wall and the other end portion of which is fixed to the vessel wall, has a spring constant at a central portion in an expansion direction which is smaller than that at the end portions in the expansion direction. The bellows damps stress concentration at the end portions and improves the life thereof, without enlarging the size of the bellows. The bellows may be used in a vacuum switch.
