摘要： In a manufacture method of an electron-emitting device in which an electro-conductive film having an electron-emitting region is provided between electrodes disposed on a substrate, a step of forming the electron-emitting region comprises a step of forming a structural latent image in the electro-conductive film, and a step of developing the structural latent image. An electron source comprising a plurality of electron-emitting devices arrayed on a substrate, and an image-forming apparatus in combination of the electron source and an image-forming member are manufactured by using the electron-emitting devices manufactured by the above method. The position and shape of an electron-emitting region of each electron-emitting device can be controlled so as to achieve uniform device characteristics, resulting less variations in the amount of emitted electrons between the electron-emitting devices and in the brightness of pictures. Also, the need of flowing a great current for formation of the electron-emitting region is eliminated and hence the current capacity of wiring can be reduced.

摘要： An apparatus for producing an electron-emitting thin film substrate, comprising a stage on which a substrate on which electrode pairs arranged along plural rows and columns is mounted, and a liquid droplet supplier for supplying, per each of the electrode pairs, a droplet formed from a liquid containing ingredient constituting a thin film member conducting an electron stream according to an electric field applied between the pair of electrodes during a movement relative to the substrate or the stage. The apparatus also comprises a source that provides the liquid containing ingredient constituting the thin film member to the liquid droplet supplier.

摘要： Disclosed herein is a process for producing a printed substrate, comprising a step of applying droplets of a liquid containing a material for a desired component to be formed on a substrate to the surface of the substrate to form the component on the substrate, wherein the process comprises, prior to the step of applying the droplets to the substrate surface, a step of subjecting the substrate to a surface treatment in such a manner that the contact angle of the droplet applied with the surface of the substrate falls within a range of from 20° to 50°.

摘要： A radiation generating apparatus of the present invention includes an envelope 1 including a first window 2 allowing radiation to pass; a radiation tube 10 that is accommodated in the envelope 1, and includes a second window 15 allowing radiation to pass, at a position opposite to the first window 2; a radiation passing hole 21 that is thermally connected to the second window 15 and communicates with the second window 15; and a radiation shielding member 16 protruding from the second window 15 toward the first window 2. In this apparatus, a thermal conducting member 17 having a higher thermal conductivity than the radiation shielding member 16 is connected to an outer periphery of the protruding portion of the radiation shielding member 16. The simple configuration can shield unnecessary radiation, and cool the target, while facilitating reduction in weight.
