    摘要: According to one embodiment of the invention, a method for setting permission levels is described. First, an application and digital signature is received by logic performing the permission assessment. Then, a determination is made as to what permission level for accessing resources is available to the application based on the particulars of the digital signature. Herein, the digital signature being signed with a private key corresponding to a first public key identifies that the application is assigned a first level of permissions, while the digital signature being signed with a private key corresponding to a second public key identifies the application is assigned a second level of permissions having greater access to the resources of an electronic device than provided by the first level of permissions.

    摘要: An endoscope for quantitatively determining dimensions of an object in a cavity is provided. The endoscope has a projector connected to a light guide that can be introduced through the instrument channel. In the introduced position the projector projects a pattern at a defined illumination angle onto the object to be examined. The endoscope has a camera that captures the projected pattern at a fixed viewing angle in a distorted from corresponding to the object. The distorted form is used for quantitatively determining dimensions of the object by a triangulation method.

    摘要: A shock absorber with a variable damping characteristic has a piston which is reciprocable in a cylinder to divide the oil-filled internal space of the cylinder into two chambers. The chambers are connectable to each other by one or more passages so that oil can flow between the chambers in response to movement of the piston relative to the cylinder and/or vice versa. The piston has several bypasses each of which is controlled by an adjustable electrically operated regulating valve. In order to enhance the accuracy of regulation of flow of oil between the chambers by way of the bypasses, the piston is formed with channels which supply oil between the mobile valving elements and the seats of the valves to thus reduce or eliminate friction between such parts. The films of oil between the valving elements and the respective seats from hydrostatic bearings which ensure that the valving elements can leave their open or closed positions, as well as that the valving elements can move between such positions, with a high degree of predictability and faster than in heretofore known regulating valves. The valving elements can be disposed one behind the other in the axial direction of the piston. Alternatively, at least one valving element can surround at least one other valving element. All valving elements can be mounted for movement relative to a single common seat.

    摘要: A nuclear magnetic resonance tomography apparatus, and a method for operating such an apparatus, generate a tomographic image by projecting acquired signals corresponding to the nuclear spins on a frequency axis as a Fourier line, and the image of the examined slice is calculated by Fourier transformation of the Fourier lines. In the method and apparatus, a number of echo sequences are acquired after excitation of the nuclear spins in the axamination subject by a high frequency pulse. Each echo sequence consists of a selected number of individual echoes occurring in succession within each sequence. In the method and apparatus, entry of these individual echoes into a matrix having a central zero line is controlled such that the first-occuring echoes from each sequence are entered in the matrix on alternating sides of the zero line, i.e., above and below the zero line, at increasing distances from the zero line. After all of the first-occurring echoes have been entered, the same alternating entry format is undertaken for the second-occurring echoes in each sequence, and so on until all echoes from all sequences have been entered in the matrix.
