    摘要: A pump is provided that includes a body made at least partially of an elastomeric material and an inlet port and an outlet port, with each port being coupled to the body. The pump further includes a flow passage formed in the body and extending between the inlet port and the outlet port, with at least a portion of the flow passage being normally closed and with the inlet port being fluidicly uncoupled with the outlet port when the pump is in a free-state condition. An actuating device is coupled to the body and is operable for sequentially deforming the body to create a cavity within the normally closed portion of the flow passage, the cavity being in fluid communication with the inlet port, thereby drawing a packet of fluid from the inlet port into the cavity and propagating the cavity and the packet of fluid contained therein toward the outlet port.

    摘要: In a portable circular saw depth of cut adjustment is effected by pivoting movement between a shoe 24 (which supports the saw on a workpiece) and a motor and gear case housing 26 (carrying the saw blade 12) about a pivot connection 28 rearward of the motor and gear case housing. Forward of the housing 26 an upwardly extending arcuate depth slide 38, fixed to the shoe 24, slidably engages an arcuate depth guide 40 carried by the motor and gear case housing 26. Towards the upper end of the depth slide 38, and in generally fixed relation to it, a clamping assembly 42 selectively clamps the depth slide 38 and depth guide 40 together to establish a depth of cut adjustment setting. The essentially fixed relationship of the locking knob 100 of the clamping assembly 42 to the shoe 24 mean that the operations of changing depth adjustment setting may be made without changing operator's hand positions on the saw. In addition, the fixed position of the knob 100 in sawing operations mean that by design, suitably shaped, sized and positioned, it may be used as an auxiliary handle in guiding the saw in operations.

    摘要: An improved planing machine for performing an operation on the surface of wooden planks or boards is provided. The planing machine includes a base, at least two support columns disposed on the base, and a carriage assembly carrying a cutterhead. The carriage assembly may be mounted on the support columns. At least one of the base and the carriage assembly is movable vertically towards the other of the base and the carriage assembly. In an exemplary embodiment, the planing machine includes a depth stop adjustment mechanism which allows the operator to accurately select a minimum workpiece depth from one or more predetermined depths. In another exemplary embodiment. The planing machine includes a dust exhaust channel for removing dust and wood chips/shaving generated during the planing operation.
