The apparatus may include a primary antenna and a secondary antenna, wherein the antenna gain of the secondary antenna is greater than the antenna gain of the primary antenna. The method may include selectively switching between either a primary antenna or a diversity antenna to receive signals, wherein a gain of the primary antenna is less than a gain of the diversity antenna.

摘要: A wheelchair having an active anti-tipper assembly to prevent its rider from tipping over backwards when the backrest frame is reclined rearwardly. The anti-tipper assembly has a pair of laterally spaced linkage members whose top ends are pivotally connected to the backrest frame. The bottom ends of the linkage members are pivotally connected to leg members at a point intermediate their length. The leg member in turn have their top ends pivotally connected to the rear ends of the longitudinally extending bottom frame members of the wheelchair frame. The linkage members are adjustable in length. The anti-tipping leg members have rollers secured to their rearward ends.

摘要: A detent for releasably securing an inner telescoping tube within an outer telescoping tube. The said tubes having alignable openings in the walls thereof for receiving the detent. The detent is formed by a detent pin which extends through the tube wall openings and releasably latches the tubes together. A leaf spring secured at the inserted end of said inserted tube extends within the outer tube into supporting and biasing engagement with the detent pin. The spring biases said pin into the latching position. For releasing the detent, a bell crank is pivotally mounted within the inserted tube. One end of the bell crank is engaged with the locking pin and biasing spring and the other end is secured to an actuating knob which extends through the wall of the inserted tube.

摘要: Methods, apparatuses, systems, and storage media for creating, discovering, and/or resolving spells using a wand are provided. In embodiments, a computing device or a wand may detect one or more gestures and sensors in the wand may generate sensor data representative of the one or more gestures. The one or more gestures may be movements performed using the wand. The computing device or wand may convert the sensor data representative of the one or more gestures into a spell sequence. The wand may transmit the spell sequence to a computing device, and receive, from the computing device, a spell output based on the spell sequence and a wand position. The wand may also determine the spell output based on the spell sequence without transmitting the spell sequence to another device. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.

摘要: A fax machine works as a fax machine, and is capable of sending and receiving image data by email. In addition to a fax type scanner and fax type printer, the device includes an alphanumeric keyboard, a processor and a memory. The device is configured as a customer for an internet service provider, with its own email address, i.e., a user name and password. The device includes an internet type modem that is set up for calling either another fax machine or a customer number of the provider. The user enters in the keyboard either the telephone number of the other fax machine, or the email address of the addressee. The processor determines which one is entered by examining the entry for the “169” character of an email address. If it is a regular fax transmission, the other fax machine is dialed, and the document is scanned and transmitted. If it is an email transmission, the document is stored, converted into an internet type graphics file, and then emailed as an attachment to the email address through the internet service provider. The email is received by a human email user who can view the file in a screen of a personal computer without needing a fax machine. Alternately the email is received by another fax machine of the invention, which stores it, converts it to fax type data, and then prints it as if receiving a regular fax transmission.
