摘要: Embodiments of the present invention provide a system and device for making garment. One embodiment, for example, includes a system that comprises a processing device and a sewing module that sews garment material to facilitate making the garment. The system further comprises memory that includes a thread count manager having instructions stored in the memory. The instructions are executed by the processing device and include logic configured to instruct the sewing module to sew the garment material based on counting threads of the garment material rather than using the geometric shape of pieces of garment material.

摘要: A bed making apparatus can lift, push, and pull the bedding layer by layer so as to manipulate bedding originally disorganized to a made up state. The apparatus includes a vision device that evaluates and detects the current state of the bedding sensors and a computing device that determines the process of the making the bed. Typically, a robotic arm or roving device traverses the surface of the bed and can be attached to the headboard of the bed.

摘要: An apparatus which allows one to maintain precision placement of a manipulator which undergoes repeated controlled motions or trajectories is provided. The structure of the apparatus is compliant such that the manipulator may be displaced by forces applied to the mechanical structure. This compliance is due to a lack of precision in the fabrication of the component parts of the machine, and to a lack of rigidity due to a lightweight design. This displacement is of a greater magnitude than the precision positioning tolerance of the apparatus. Consequently, the manipulator may then be displaced outside of the positioning tolerance due to applied forces. However, it is a characteristic of the present invention, that despite the compliance of the mechanical structure of the apparatus, the positioning tolerance will be maintained. The controlled motion is accomplished by the generation of control signals by computer software running on a computer control system. The control software enables the system to run at much greater speeds while not exciting unwanted movement or vibration in the compliant mechanical structure.

摘要: A proposed Adiabatic Diesel Engine (ADE), implements no cooling of the cylinders. The mechanism to achieve adiabatic cylinders is based on the separation of the crankcase mechanism from the cylinder mechanism. In an example implementation, the crankcase has a cross head mechanism driven by a connecting rod. The cross head mechanism drives the piston driveshaft(s) through a sliding bearing. The piston driveshaft moves between the crankcase and the cylinders. The cylinder has both a top where compression and combustion occur and a bottom with the piston driveshaft attached. The bottom has an opening for the piston driveshaft to move through. The bottom of the cylinder would normally be used to pump air for charging the combustion chamber. The crankcase mechanism contains lubricating oil and typically is cooled naturally through its casing.
