Abstract:
Systems and methods are described for carrier phase synchronization for improved AM and TV broadcast reception. A method includes synchronizing the phase of a carrier frequency of a broadcast signal with the phase of a remote reference frequency. An apparatus includes a receiver to detect the phase of a reference signal; a phase comparator coupled to the reference signal-phase receiver; a voltage controlled oscillator coupled to the phase comparator; and a phase-controlled radio frequency output coupled to the voltage controlled oscillator.

FIG. 1 is a right perspective view of a water rower showing the new design. FIG. 2 is a rear view thereof. FIG. 3 is a front view thereof. FIG. 4 is a left side view thereof; and, FIG. 5 is a right side view thereof. The broken lines in the drawings depict portions of the water rower that form no part of the claimed design.
Abstract:
A system for producing fragmented video content is provided. The system includes a processing device, a non-transitory data store, and a memory storage device having at least a Manifest Processing Service (MPS) unit stored therein. The MPS unit is configured to generate at least one master manifest and store the master manifest in the non-transitory data store, the master manifest comprising a timing reference for a video fragment of the fragmented video content, wherein the timing reference indicates a temporal boundary of processing for the video fragment.
Abstract:
Human antibodies, preferably recombinant human antibodies, that specifically bind to human interleukin-12 (hIL-12) are disclosed. Preferred antibodies have high affinity for hIL-12 and neutralize hIL-12 activity in vitro and in vivo. An antibody of the invention can be a full-length antibody or an antigen-binding portion thereof. The antibodies, or antibody portions, of the invention are useful for detecting hIL-12 and for inhibiting hIL-12 activity, e.g., in a human subject suffering from a disorder in which hIL-12 activity is detrimental. Nucleic acids, vectors and host cells for expressing the recombinant human antibodies of the invention, and methods of synthesizing the recombinant human antibodies, are also encompassed by the invention.

Abstract:
The invention provides signal processing algorithms and apparatus for detecting bradykinesia, tremor, or other symptoms of neurological dysfunction in subjects, using three-dimensional sensors to tract finger and hand position. The invention provides Cartesian Genetic Programming networks and particular function blocks for such networks to enable identification of subjects exhibiting such symptoms.
Abstract:
A system and method for lubricating components where the lubricant is applied in mist form within a substantially enclosed cavity. The cavity contains a draining aperture which collects excess lubricant for subsequent re-use by the system. The cavity is defined by a spray head that includes a base having attached thereto a cover plate with an opening adapted to receive therethrough a component to be lubricated. The cavity and lubrication chamber prevents the escape of excess lubricant. The collection and reuse of excess lubricant provides a closed loop system that reduces lubricant waste.

Abstract:
A new type of circuit for driving an electromagnetic acoustic transducer (EMAT) which does not employ push-pull technology using a transformer but instant uses a novel circuit employing a series of Mosfet switches to correct all the disadvantages of using a transformer.
Abstract:
The fragrance emanation system includes a container for holding preferably a fragranced liquid or gel, a housing for holding the container, and a wick. The housing contains a socket for attaching to the container, a cavity for receiving the container and a door for enclosing the container. One end of the wick protrudes from the container. An electrical circuit is included having a heater for heating the protruding end of the wick and electrical connectors coupled to the circuit to receive current from a power source to provide the current to the heater. The heater heats and evaporates the liquid within the wick, thereby accelerating the emission of vapors from the evaporated liquid. The door includes a window, a bottom and a mechanism for holding the door closed to assist in holding the container in engagement with the socket.
