摘要： In an apparatus for measuring texture and characterization of the surface of a sample on the basis of the drive signal of a servo control circuit by allowing a probe-tip (1) to approach the sample (2) and subjecting the probe-tip (1) to servo control so that a current, which is generated by moving the probe-tip (1) on the sample surface and which flows between the probe-tip (1) and the sample (2), becomes constant, the present invention discloses a surface metrological apparatus comprising a circuit (11, 12) for correcting the texture and characterization of the sample by use of a current error of the measured value of the current described above from the set current value.

Also, only in the case where the energy beam is modulated by the power lower in power level than the record-ready power level after the last pulse of the energy beam pulse train including at least one pulse for forming a mark portion and the mark portion is followed by a space portion of a predetermined length, the particular radiation energy of low power level is reduced as compared with when the mark portion is followed by a space potion of a different length. The radiation energy is increased and/or decreased.

摘要： A tracking servo system includes in addition to a composite servo system composed of a push-pull track deviation detecting loop operative with pregrooves formed in an optical disc and a wobbling track deviation detecting loop operative with intermittently provided wobbled tracking marks, an offset correcting loop for detecting offset component possibly produced due to tilt, deformation and eccentricity of a recording medium or change in optical and mechanical parameters in the course of time lapse to drive forcibly a light spot by applying an electrical offset to cancel out the offset component. In the offset correcting loop, light reflected by wobbled tracking marks provided intermittently or mirror areas formed by interrupting intermittently the pregroove is utilized for detecting the offset component.
